My one and a half year old $400.00 JVC Stereo broke and after contacting JVC they recommended that I take it to BGH Electronics. Even the day I dropped it off, the lady, who is the business owner's wife, became irritated with me as she wrote down my information because I tried to offer two phone numbers for them to contact me. She only wanted one. That day they told me it would be a few weeks and I paid the $29.95 estimate fee.

After a week or so the tech guy called me to tell me that it would be a few weeks while they waited on the parts. Weeks went by and after about a month I called to see what the status was. The lady told me in a very annoyed tone, "Miss (my last name), you were told that we are waiting on a part." I felt like I was bothering her so I left it at that. A few more weeks went by and it had been about 1.5 months since I had originally dropped it off so I tried to call again. I left a message asking for them to return my call. I did not get a response. I called from the phone number I had given them several more times and they never answered, so I called from a number that they would not recognize as me and they answered. By this time it had been about 2 months since they had it, and the tech guy said that he had just gotten the parts today and he would fix it in the next few days. I set a date about a week from that time for pick up and he told me that it would be done.

When I went to pick it up, the lady immediately recognized me and said in a very inquisitive voice, "Is it done yet," which made me believe that it was not done. I told her how the tech guy told me it would be finished. She asked him right in front of me if he had my paperwork and he said, "I don't know if it's done yet or not." I didn't know if he meant the paperwork or the actual stereo, but he went into a backroom for approximately 10-15 minutes while I waited. Then the invoice did not have any parts listed and they charged me a $10.00 labor fee only. I asked if their work was guaranteed and she said that it was for 30 days.

I took it home and plugged it in and it did the same exact thing that I took it in for within a minute. My conclusion is that they did not do any work to the stereo and gave it back hoping that I would not notice or that it would miraculously work. So I took it back and I intended to get my $39.95 back because I did not think it was fair to give them my stereo again for them to keep it and evade my attempts at contacting them. They refused to give me my money back and the lady was on the phone with her husband, the business owner and handed me the phone (which I thought was extremely unprofessional). He told me they would attempt to fix it for free. I told them that I would not give it back to them because they avoided my calls and they had my stereo for over 2 months without even fixing it the first time. I simply wanted my money back so that I could offer that to another business to fix the stereo.

I have been working through the Better Business Bureau to resolve the issue and I wrote a similar description as above. The business owner responded by calling me a liar and saying that I was just angry. He did not respond to my allegation about them committing fraud by claiming that they worked on the stereo when it seems as if they did not. It is only $40.00, so I don't see why they won't just give in and admit that they were wrong in avoiding my calls, being rude, being unprofessional, committing fraud, and that they are not qualified to work on JVC stereos. I called JVC to report this to them as well.

Please do not take your business to this place. It is not the money that is actually that important, it's that I felt I was treated unfairly. I also don't want to spend nearly $100.00 on repairs for this stereo, which would happen if I did not get my money back and took it somewhere else.

The ex worker for BGH Electronics was the one selling fake copies of windows on desktops he was selling on company time. We have witnesses customers who were complaining about him. A false or generated product key was produce by him and a scratch up disk made for the customer. We can not reveal the customers name because of their privacy. This worker was let go because of not doing his work. Now on older laptops. Most of these will not have the orginal OS on them or will have 3.1 windows,95,98,ME,etc. Most older laptops has the old OS which no one wants. Recovery disk can be gotten on with the old OS on them. Most come with OS on them. As far as, as is on all our items that only apply to what is as is. Nevertheless at lease we will tell you if a product is as is. Anyway you will have to be the judge. There are many companies to do business with. You will not please eveyone. Now as far as the customer with the JVC radio. This can be verified by JVC. Part was on back order. Lead tech let her know this. Yes i beleived the customer may have been treated bad. I took care of that. There is no company who refunds an estimate fee. Not Sears,Nor any servicer. We are suppose to look at thing for free,no. Also this customer was offer to have her radio fix for free after problem happen. She demanded her money back. We do not do that. Customer sign the paperwork stating she excepted the product after work was done. Also she reported us to the BBB. They also will show you we did nothing wrong. Again it is up to you to decide. Last the tv that was not fix and the tech used the remote to fix is the same tech that is not with us. The tv was a very old one, which the parts were No long available. What was not told to you was we replaced the tv with a working one. Laptop complaint OS was changed by the customer. Laptop would not work with that OS. Again you decide what you want to do.

Watch out buying products there, they are from places that could not repair it, auctions or shelf pulls or returns of broken items from retailers.

Also, the Laptop's your paying $200+ for are garabage!! The OS (Windows) may NOT be a legal copy. (Check to see if the sticker one the bottom of the laptop shows the version of Windows that is installed on it, if it is not, ask for the Certificate and CD Key for it!) If you do buy from there, pay by check (so you can cancel it if the said product does not work as advertised.) For legal reasons, please return the product to them.

If you notice, MOST of the products sold there are "As-Is", kind of a shoddy business practice.

If your getting warrenty work done, GET ALL documentation of the repairs done. If it is an In-Home repair, DO NOT LET THEM TAKE YOUR PRODUCT out of your home!!!
