I will make my story short and hopefully as well informative.

On apr 16,06 i received an invitation from bill heard to purchase a car. I filled out the application and faxed it to so called bankruptcy specialist carl ----. Well after not receiving an immediate response back I forgot about bill heard.

Lo and behold on april 29, 06 I receive a call from this sales person come on in and pick out a car we got you approved you will be driving home today. So I rush from college park to kennesaw as advisesd by this sales person because he was ready to leave and wanted to close the deal. The whole time having doubts because the car I owned I owed more money on then worth. Well I arrive at dealership and pick out a caddy cts. Do all paperwork and leave had to give a check for 500 down post dated.

Well a week passed and was advised had to resign new contract as bank wanted supposed different terms. Keep in mind kenesaw is a good distance from where I live. When I arrived to resign contract finance person advsd could lower my payment but didn't advise over the phone that they would have to delete extended warranty and I would need additional 1000 dollars down until I arrived at dealership. Reluctantly I resign already having shown car to friends and family and putting some miles on it being told the deal was done.

Another week later they call me again to resign another deal. That is when I got worried. So I resigned. At this time told bill heard had sold my trade which I still owed money on but they never paid finace company off.

To make a long story short they claimed they wanted to cancel deal they were supposedly losing to much money keep in mind I didn't make my payment on my trade for that month. So I really got worried. Then I immediately start getting calls to return car with demand. I ask about my trade they then lied and said they had it and would give it to me when I returned caddy.

Well I was one step ahead of them. I went right over to kia of union city and was approved for a 2006 kia amanti. Which I might add has been financed and i have already received my tags. I drove this car back to bill heard along with the caddy. We were called into office to do paperwork for return. Was then told they did not have my trade anymore it was sold. Told bill heard to stick caddy where the sun don't shine aqnd proceeded out door.

Bill heard personnel had nerve to block in caddy with another car saw to sales men laughing. Well guess what the laughing stopped when they saw me get into my new 2006 amanti and pull off oh there faces were so red with anger you could have seen them a mile away at night. Caddy was a used 2003 with 44000 miles.

To make a long story short bill heard ended up paying off old finance company and I'm still enjoying my brand new car with a 10 year 10000 mile warranty. They just new i would of had to walk home from kennesaw but they truly saw the light.

Avoid bill heard at all cost. They are evil liars manipulative and never ever do spot delivery it is a gimmick and can and will leave you stranded unless you have a1 credit

Bill Heard Chevrolet

AUTHOR: Mark - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 18, 2006

I too had a bad experience with this Dealership. I actually paid $15000 CASH down and a month later, yes A MONTH, they called and said the terms had changed and they needed me to come in and sign some new papers. It appeared there was a problem with my credit.

I called on several occasions during the first week of owning my NEW TAHOE. They assured me everything was OK. And much to my surprise it wasn't. They even cashed my check and it cleared the bank in 2 days! Yet, it took them a month to tell me there was a problem.

PEOPLE, THEY DO THIS TO CONSUMERS ALL THE TIME. PLEASE BEWARE! DO NOT DRIVE OFF THE LOT UNTIL YOU PERSONALLY HAVE SPOKEN WITH THE BANK WHO IS DOING THE FINANCING OF YOUR VEHICLE. NO MATTER WHAT THEY TELL YOU!

I drove what I thought was my new car for a month and put about 3500 miles on it, then they wanted to charge me for the mileage. NO WAY! I made them get me a CASHIERS CHECK and take their car back. They screwed up and it was their problem.

SO, AGAIN, PEOPLE, PLEASE BEWARE OF DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS "ONE OF THE LARGEST DEALERSHIPS IN THE COUNTRY" They will rip you off if they get even half a chance. I wont even go into detail of what they did on the paperwork. I was too excited about having a new vehicle to read the fine print. They added all sorts of charges that were not even explained!

When you look up CAUTION in the phone book, you will see their name!

Correct

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 04, 2006

The previous poster is correct. With all the tools at the consumer's disposal (phone, internet, etc) no one should walk into a dealership without financing pre-arranged or at least a good idea of what you can get. Even if you use the manufacturer's lender, you can apply online and get approval. If you do this though, you might still have to haggle over the interest rate at the dealership. Equifax credit reporting has a feature on their website that tells you what you can expect to pay in interest rate due to your FICO score and your ZIP code.

You got their Number!

AUTHOR: Shana - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 04, 2006

Former employee will attest that this is common practice at Bill Heard Chevrolet, Kennesaw, Ga. They often let people leave with cars without even having secured the financing yet, despite what they tell the customer. The only way it will ever stop is for people to STOP BUYING CARS THERE! If you want financing, TRY YOUR OWN BANK FIRST!!!

Thank you Rip-Off Report!

You go,

You go, Macey.

Spot delivery is a dispicable scam. Either you have the financing or you don't. Calling you back over and over to sign new "deals" is absurd. I live in your area and will be purchasing 2 new cars in the next 6 months. You can bet I will be watching this site for car dealers in the Metro Atl area. Thanks again for your post.
