I went to buy a new Chevy Silverado at Bill Heard in Scottsdale, AZ. This was my first dealership car buying experience, and definatley not a good one. First off, very few vehicles had prices posted in the windows. this meant that you had to trust the dealer on the MSRP. The truck that I ended up getting had a price simply typed onto a piece of paper - not a manufacturer's sticker.

Once I agreed to buy the vehicle, my salesman's supervisor came over. We haggled for a while over the price. He eventually quoted a price that I thought was still to high, but i finally agreed. He stated that it was for 5 years which after I read the fine print ended up being for six.

This supervisor plopped down the paperwork for me to sign and just stood over my shoulder. I asked him to leave me alone while I read it. He said "You actually want to read that?" and huffed off. One page caught my eye - it was a page listing $1500 worth of options. I stated that I did not want any off the options, and the supervisor said that they are installed on every vehicle, and you must buy them. They were window tint, an alarm, an extra layer of clear coat on the paint, and an extended warranty on the window etching.
The supervisor then said that they were unable to run a credit check due to computer problems. He demanded a $2500 down payment, and no less. I only had $1000, so I put it on my credit card (huge mistake).

When I got into financing, they gave me a 14% intrest rate. I was upset because my credit is perfect, but they blamed it on computer problems. My financing officer Lucy Tucker, argued with me forever over various warranties and was upset when I refused them all. She did not want to take no for an answer. By this time, I was very upset, because I was getting screwed all over the place.

When I got to my truck, I found out that all of the options that are supposedly installed on every vehicle was not on mine. No window tint, no alarm, and there was still manufacturer's tape on the truck, so there had not been an added layer of clear coat. The warranty on the window etching was BS to begin with, so I was really upset. Once I got home, and looked over all the numbers I found that I had an extra $800 added on. I later found out that this was an additional extended warranty on top of the extended warranty on the window etching that I did not want in the first place.

I went back into the dealership, and they offered to lower my interest rate to 9% because they had finally done a proper credit check. The only problem was Lucy Tucker would only lower my interest rate if I signed for a $2000 warranty. (These guys get commssion off of warranties, so she was just trying to get a buck) I signed the paper work, so I could get the lower interest. I also argued with Lucy about the options that I paid for but did not have. She refunded the additional $800 but not the $1500 in options.

I cancelled the warranty within a week to get my money back.

As far as the $1500 in options, it took nearly a month and a half of calling the dealership repeatedly before they refunded my money. I did get it back, but i am still at a loss. I had to pay sales tax and interest on this money that Bill Heard decided to 'borrow' from me.
I would never again step foot into this dealership. I have to drive past this place every day, and it upsets me every time. I strongly suggest to never go to this place unless you like to have your money stolen

Why Did You Reward Them???

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, October 29, 2005

Chris:

Yes, Bill Heard is one of the top slime ball dealerships in the USA.

But Chris, some questions are in order....

1. You knew they were trying to scam you with all the extras...why in the world did you REWARD them by doing business with them?

2. You knew they were trying to scam you...why didn't you walk out?

3. How much in fraud fees did you pay...like so-called dealer fees?

Chris, you and I will never be able to rid the world of the slime balls and pond scum in the car business. The SMELL and STENCH of these types is rampant in the car business. But we have the best defense they cannot counter...OUR FEET. When they try to DEFRAUD us, we walk out. We don't REWARD them. We don't "have to sign" anything. There's nobody pointing a gun. Next time Chris, use those feet. don't play doormat and absolutely don't reward slime balls by doing business with them when its OBVIOUS they are trying to scam us!

Chris I would love to get my eyes on all of the documents they had you sign. God only knows what I would find.

Now, go to the two below Rip Off Reports and look at the photos I tell you to look at.

I told both of these car buyers to contact their auto lender and get a copy of their credit app, I told them both they would get a FAT SURPRISE in the mail.

In this report look at the second photo

Chris little info on MSRP's disappearing.

Chris little info on MSRP's disappearing. It seems that there is NOBODY in the AZ government that cares about a FREDERAL being BROKEN. maybe they have no CLUE about what law was passed in 1958.

The legislation requiring the sticker is commonly known as the Monroney Law, named after its sponsor in Congress, Almer Stillwell "Mike" Monroney (1902-1980): Born in Oklahoma; U.S. Representative from Oklahoma, 1939-51; U.S. Senator from Oklahoma, 1951-69.

go look at all of the pictures in the below rip Off Report. What do you see missing, what do you NOT SEE
