I am wanting everyone to know that Bill Heard Chevrolet of Sugarland is evil and dishonest to us hard working people out here in the world.
We purchased a 04 impala in March of 04 and when we walked out of there we thought we had a $3750 rebate and a car for 21000, but come to find out we did not, we purchase another vehicle in July 2004 and the guys went over everything with us about the financing and when he was going over everything with us a light went on in my head and I said I didn't get that over at Bill Heard in Sugaland and they said you should have which was the contract.
Well, we went home and I looked in my envelope and notice that I had no contract I only had a purchase order along with the arbitration and delivery aggreement and my trade in papers and I also noticed on my purchase order that I only got a $1750 rebate not the $3750 that we were supposed to get.
Well, I went up there on August 2,2004 and Rodger Sanders which was the guy the was in the office with us when we were signing the purchase order was the same guy that was talking with me on Aug 2 well I asked him about the rebate and he said that the Sales man automatically took off the 2000 off the top of the car price and that is why it was only 1750 well he then printed up another purchase order and wouldn't you know everything was increased by $2000, but now the $3750 rebate was on there.
I then asked him why everything was increased by 2000 and he said to keep you from being negative and I said we were not negative when we walked out of here on March 30. He didn't have anything to say I then asked him about my gap insurance because I wanted to know if I was charged or not. Well he then printed up a contract and it didn't have any charges on it, I then asked if well do I have it or not.
I then asked him why I didn't get a copy of the contract on March 30. He said because the bank will send it out 6 weeks after the signing of the contract. He then said let me go upstairs and get the original to see if you were charged for the gap or not. Well he went up there and brought down the yellow customer copy that I was supposed to get 6 weeks after the signing. Now mind you it has been 5 months that has passed and I was supposed to get that copy 6 weeks after March 30. Well I did not.
They still had it and when I was looking on there, there were no charges for the gap insurance and I looked further down and noticed that the signatures on the contract was not mine nor my husbands. My husbands name was spelled totally wrong and you could tell that a man had signed my name. I then stood up and told him that they are going to have a big law suit on their hands and they better stand on their tippy toes.
Well, I hired an attorney and we now have a law suit against Bill Heard for "FORGERY", and I hope they pay out the A** for what they are doing to us consumers. My attorney has been investigating this and has noticed that they target minorities and Black people that have not so good credit, because they thought that if they could do mexicans, blacks and whites that have not so good credit and they got them in a car or truck that they would be happy and not worry about the price of the vehicle and not come back after they only sign the purchase order.
Well I went back and I am now in a law suit against them. DON'T BUY FROM BILL HEARD CHEVROLET ANY WHERE IN THE WORLD BECAUSE THEY ARE MAKING A PRACTICE OUT OF THIS AND THEY ARE GOING TO PAY!!!

Bill Heard Sugarland POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
AUTHOR: Chris - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Monday, October 11, 2004
I recently was involved with trying to help my mother buy a used vehicle, and have heard the many bad things about Bill Heard, before I ever read this website. She applied for a car loan online and was called up by several dealerships or people working with car dealers apparently within the finance arm of dealers in the area. Manual Luna calls/emails my mother from carloans.com . He speaks to my mother and informs her she has been approved for a loan on a '99 or newer with less than 100K miles. He left a message to call him back, etc. I return her call for her, as she is working long hours. I ask him what the interest rate is and term/conditions. He informs me that they have found her a loan with a credit union in California at 4% APR, which raises red flags immediately. I tell him essentially that we have found another vehicle at another dealership and he then quickly tells me that the loan can be applied to pay off the current one we have paid for this vehicle. I told him that we have not purchased the vehicle yet, and asked to clarify if we could use this loan he is talking about on the purchase of another vehicle at another dealer. He said yes. Plain and simple, and I said I would get back in touch by the end of the week. Three days later I called and said that my mother would like to apply this loan on this vehicle we had found at another local dealer. After a few minutes of pressuring me to come in and look at their inventory and sounding annoyed at the fact that I did not see the vehicle my mother was interested in on their website, and assuring me that the internet price is 'sh*t' and not to pay attention to that, he then asked who quoted me that loan information. I informed Mr. Luna that it was him who told me that. A few seconds of silence and breathing, he began to pressure me and my mother into Bill Heard yet again, and not answering any of my questions, I had to cut him off and quickly asked, "Yes or no? Can she use this loan at another dealer?" He replied, "NO. She cannot." I said, "Ok, tha.." Then was quickly cut off with Mr. Luna Yelling at me, "In fact your mother is not approved!" Then hangs up on me. I called back, now more aggrivated than I was during the entire conversation. Mr. Luna answers the phone and quickly tells me,"Do not call back here, it's.." and I cut him off and tell him, that I'd like to speak to a manager and complain, in a stern but calm tone. He quickly replied with a raised tone that I should not call back, and said that, "I am the manager here! I decide whether or not anyone gets approved for credit or not, and your mother will not get credit here..." I proceeded to hang up on him. This was screamed into my ear. Within three minutes I was called back by yet another manager, who 'was walking by and heard the incident'. He said he had talked to Mr. Luna about what had happened. I told him my side. This conversation was mainly about how could he (the new manager) get me into Bill Heard to rectify the situation and do business with me? After asking me how old I am, because I sound young (and apparently don't know how to do business, at least this is the impression I recieved with his tone) I was beginning to think that this conversation would end in a similar manner. This conversation lasted for more than 10 minutes. The entire time, he kept asking "what can we do to earn your business?" I never once heard an apology for the way I was spoken too, I was also told that Mr. Luna had been sent home for the day, I was even offered Astros tickets. We ended the conversation about how dissapointed I was and that Bill Heard would not get any of my business nor anyone else's associated with me. After a couple of hours, I called Bill Heard and asked to speak with Mr. Luna. To no surprise Mr. Luna was still at the dealership, and was not sent home. This is now the second lie, and essentially sounds like a good cop bad cop sales tactic. Apparently, this is common practice of the dealer. I have sent a complaint to Corporate, but I do not expect to hear back or have it followed up. The implication of my age and lack of business experience is shocking in the least, and the tone and words projected at me over the phone was ultimately the worst customer relations experience I could have ever imagined. I have never in my life imagined that anyone should be talked to in the manner that I was, and can promise that I will never allow anyone I know do business with Bill Heard. Mr Big Volume does not treat their customers with respect, and apparently is skimming through the credit applications from online in order to offer fals claims and high promises just to get someone into the dealership. I hate to think what happens when they get into the actual dealership. Bill heard also owns Landmark Chevrolet in the Houston Area, please be advised of the association.

Old Bill Heard Must Be Proud! What a Legacy!!! ..slimiest of all car dealer chains in the world!

Shannon:
I am so sorry you have had this experience with one of the slimiest of all car dealer chains in the world!
Keep all of us informed regarding the lawsuit, please.
Did you also notice they lied to you about the real price of the car? Here's how...they advertised a certain price but then add a phoney-baloney dealer fee for several hundred dollars. That means the REAL PRICE of the car is the advertised price PLUS the phoney baloney fee. The Great William T. Heard dealership chain doesn't have the honesty to advertise that real price.
In just about every place this guy operates he's had problems with the regulators. In Florida "Mr. Big Volume" paid a big civil penalty of over $250,000 for big time fraud.
You did the right thing by posting your experience here. Now spread the word to everybody you know.
One more thing Shannon, be sure to show your compassion to those who live within 20 miles of a Heard dealership. These people are within striking distance of the SMELL of STENCH from this garbage pit of the auto business. Don't ever go into another Heard dealership again unless you have a case of uncontrolled diarehha and then you can relieve yourself on the showroom floor. With the stench of the fraud and deception, nobody will ever notice!
