I'm a temporary visitor in the USA, I can only be here for six months. When I started searching for a gym my top priority was NOT to be in a contract, the very reason why I chose Blink Fitness. They have a cheap plan that you pay monthly and can cancel at any time FOR FREE. With that in mind, I told the attendant that I wanted this specific plan, signed up and started working out. I have text message record to prove that I told my family back in Brazil exactly what plan I wanted, what the benefits were and exactly why I chose this gym because of the free cancellation policy, and for the fact it wasn't a contract.

Now, that my time here is about to expire, I went to the gym to cancel my plan, only to find out they had signed me up NOT to the plan that I wanted but to a different plan, the one that IS a contract and HAS a cancellation fee of $60 dollars, which is 3 months worth of membership. When I explained everything, they said there's nothing they can do because I agreed to the terms of the membership I'm (wrongfully) signed up in. Obviously, I agreed to the terms, due to the fact I thought it was the plan I wanted. So now they're trying to force me to pay the cancellation fee with the sole argument that I agreed to the terms.

They're not trying to help, solve the problem, and they don't even acknowledge that they made a mistake and that THEY signed me up to the wrong membership plan. This is bad faith, and I feel cheated and screwed over.

I would never recommend Blink to a friend, and never will I ever step foot in any of their gyms again. We're talking about a company that operates in bad faith, makes mistakes and blame their customers for it, making them pay for the companies mistakes, and hides behind their policies to avoid taking responsibility for their actions.
