World of Warcraft is a massively multi-player online game costing about 15 dollars a month, paid by 11.5 million subscribers.
Since November of 2008, around the time of the "World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King" release, the patrons of World of Warcraft have run into an inability to access "instances", a key part of the game. Instances are a team oriented content requiring coordinations and yield higher rewards than attainable through lower play.
Blizzard became aware of the problem early on but within the past month the problem has gone from intermittent to near constantly present during normal hours of the day.
While they have made some acknowledgement to the problem, they have yet to solve it or update us since said acknowledgement over a month ago. http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=18031082483&sid=1
Despite these issues, the company released yet another content pack, encouraging even more players to run "instance" content, pushing the wait times from 5-45 minutes to as high as at least two hours.
We have received little word as to a solution, and the publishing of additional content instead of fixing the issue is disheartening at best.
Blizzard has taken $172,500,000 for the past month of unrenderd services from its player base.
It's been nine months, how much longer do we need to wait?

As a player myself, I understand your frustration. However, according to Blizzard's TOS and EULA, you are paying for access to the account and server in question. Anything beyond that is not guaranteed, and things like 'gear', 'account restorations', or 'instance access' are perks to the access we receive. While I understand it is frustrating when there are instance queues, Blizzard has to come up with a verified working solution to the problem before implementation to avoid further problems.
I can tell you that on the servers that my 'toons' currently reside on, we have not had the problems that you are mentioning to the extent you are, but we know of people on other servers that have. Perhaps you may want to utilize Blizzard's PCT service and try another server, or their free character transfers if available?
Good luck in Azeroth!

I play on both East and West coast servers and have not a single issue. So please, make sure you are talking for yourself and not everyone. I'm almost willing to bet it's your computer/ISP than it's Blizz. I don't know anyone that is having these issues on the servers I play on.
