I worked for Blue Lion for almost a year. I it is possible to make $35,000 a year doing door to door sales but you should be aware of the following:

You will be doing door to door sales of AT&T's fiber optic TV, Internet and phone. You will need to learn and be able to explain fiber optic technology. After your training period you will be alone in a neighborhood with a list of addresses. You will be knocking on doors, people will not be expecting you. You will introduce yourself, explain why you're there and convince them to switch to AT&T.

You will get a lot of doors slammed in your face.

You will be working 6 days a week, 10-12 hours a day, in rain, snow and 100 degree heat.

You will be on commission. If you don't make a sale, you won't get paid for your time.

If your customer cancels their order, you won't get paid.

Most people don't last a month.

You will be an "independent contractor". That means that no taxes are taken out of your check. You will get a 1099 form in January. You will be responsible for paying those taxes.

You will be expected to spend approximately 20 hours a week in the office. Remember, since you are only paid when you make a sale, you will not be paid for your time in the office.

If you are successful, you will be expected to train new employees and build a team. You will not be paid extra for this.

Keep track of your sales and check your paycheck carefully. Sales that you made will be missing from your paycheck on a regular basis. These "mistakes" will be blamed on AT&T.

You will be expected to go on week long road trips to other Blue Lion offices during which you will have to share a hotel room. 4-5 times a year you will also be required to attend out of town conferences on Sundays (your only day off).

You will pay for your own gas and phone. Keep track of what you spend because it's tax deductible.
