I opened a BlueBird Account thru American Express at a local Walmart and it started off fine.  It allows you to setup a Bank Account as a funding source and you can send people money and request money but here is where is falls short. 

Apparently in the terms of agreement there is a setion 10 that states you cannot setup a funding source for a card that is not in your name.  My girlfriend and I wanted to purchase a vacation and she was trying to give me money but instead of going to a Walmart I figured we could do it online and added her card as a funding source which it allowed. (you should be able to program it not to allow this is the name doesn't match) and transferred funds.  (this should have also produced an error)

Next day instead of sending me something saying this was in violation they automatically closed my account.  (not very friendly, who reads those d**n agreements anyway)  Still, I knew I was in the wrong so I wasn't that upset, until I tried to get my money refunded.  BlueBird said they cannot send me a refund and I would have to contact the bank of the funding source to request the funds back. 

My bank says the funds are already out of the account so they can't request it back.  I can only dispute it.  I called Bluebird back and they confirmed, yes there is nothing they can do, I need to dispute the transfer.  How RIDICULOUS!  SO now I need to wait days maybe weeks for the transfers to be disputed and not all of the money was added to the card from my bank.  Some was added with cash at a Walmart register.  So in the end they will have still screwed me out of $17.21

BlueBird is a ripoff, I am not even sure how they stay in business or why American Express would put their name on it.
