My house came with home warranty under Broward
Factory Service (BFS).
After making 5 calls to them during the last 11 mo.for various problems that the contract said WAS covered,all I got was 5 excuses why they could not fix the problems.
This week I phoned BFS to tell them my condensation pump for my ac was making a lot of noise.I ask them on the phone if the pump was covered under home warranty and I was assured it was covered.The serviceman came the next day and checked the pump and said they would order a new pump for me.The next day BFS Rep.James phoned me,I returned his call and he said the pump was not part of the ac and was not covered.Then James told me they could sell me a new one for $175 plus tax,(plus $45 service charge) that's when I just hung-up the phone.
I am now very tired of listening to their crappy excuses and no service.
I found my Identical condensation pump at pumps-in-stock.com for $57.
What's wrong with this picture?

Our home warranties have the terms and conditions clearly on the back of the warranty just like all home warranty companys.There are items we cover and items we do not.Clearly the csr that was on the phone did not know what part the home owner was asking for.A condensate pump is added to a air conditioning system in most cases after the system is installed when the drain line becomes a problem and cannot be cleaned properly.This is why we do not cover that item.As for the price if we sold parts at our cost and did not charge for installing them we would not be in business for very long.
