bought a vehicle from budget car sales, have the contract where i purchashed the vehicle, rode in it for two weeks, then they told me to come in and sign somemore paperwork. they say i cannot leave the car lot with the vehicle, they cannot finance me. i got a forty hr a week job, stay in a house that's paid for. my grandma pay all the utilites, absolutely no bills. they had a $49.00 down and drive weekend sale. so i go over there to purchase a vehicle. they say they couldn't finance me for the $49.00 down deal. so i tell them, "i got money in my pocket". i was about to walk off the lot, they stop me and said, "we gone work something up for you". i give them $500.00 down payment, i drive off the lot with a vechile, two weeks they take it back. i ask for my down payment back. they say i need a recepit. i give them the envelope that they gave me with the contract in it, and there's no recepit, they never gave me a recepit. and told me i got to find a way home.

Those type of ads are lead generation ads to get you in to buy a car - usually at a higher than market price for a financing plan that is full of bad terms.

You are far better off going to a credit union and getting approved for decent financing so you can go out and shop with an approval in your hand. You will end up with much better financing overall. Plus, you can look for vehicles in the right price range and not visit the 'subprime car lots' that employ these come on type ads.

It will also allow you to shop for better cars if you don't have to play the dealership games with the finance person.

Read up on the top ten car dealership scams and you will see the "spot delivery" scam that was pulled on you is one of the most popular scams out there. The only way to combat it is to have your own financing lined up first. Good luck. I think you can turn the lemons into lemonaid.
