***BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE***
Like many people, I had lost a lot of money investing in "Business Opportunities" hoping to add other streams of income to my income portfolio.
Most of these Companies I think are genuine even though they make exaggerated claims of expected income and ease of operation of their business opportunities. I had invested in six of these and shown no profit at all. In fact these "opportunities" had cost me about $18,000 in total.
In August 2009, David Rodriguez of BUSINESS RECOVERY SERVICES of Mesa, Arizona contacted me by phone. He said that I could recover a substantial amount of the money I had lost if I took their services and wrote letters, which RBS formatted, to a variet of parties in connection with each of Business Opportunity Companies. These letters were to: The US Postal Inspectors Office, thInternal Revenue Service, the Better Business Bureau, the State Attorney General and the Credit Card Company or Bank I had used to pay for these opportrunites.
If this did not induce these Companies to refund a substantial amount of what I had paid, I could then use BRS to recover on my behalf for a percentage of the resultant proceeds. BRS gave me a lengthy list of testimonials.
I purchased 6 "kits" for a cost of $1,000 US. When they arrived they were a series of letters to the above agencies which I had to complete and send off. The refunds would then flow in!
Most of the letters were wrongly addressed, and some of them were even addressed to me! I should have been warned!
I completed all the details and sent off about 40 letters. I received confirmations of delivery from some of the recipients. But no cash or cheques!
I had sent a copy of everything to BRS on 19th December 2009, and had heard nothing from David Rodriguez or a Ryan Reagen who was my Case Manager.
I phoned BRS in February 2010 and was told that Mr. Reagan had left and that someone would get back to me. Unsurprisingly, no-one did.
I wrote to BRS on 20th April demanding a refund of the $1,000 I had paid them and suggesting an amount in lieu of costs and stress.
I eventually received a call from someone I believe is BRIAN S. HESSLER saying that they could not find my files, but someone would get back to me. Again, unsurprisingly, no-one did.
I wrote to them again on 31st May 2010 essentially repeating my letter of 20th April and saying I would report them to BBB and Ripoff Report if they continued to ignore me.
They have, and this is my report.
***BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE***
They are taking advantage of well meaning but ignorant people, of which I admit I am one, and should not be allowed to stay in business.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company
Maybe it wasn't really Business Recovery Services.
AUTHOR: Business recovery services - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, October 27, 2010
First, without knowing your name and specifically what you purchased, it will be very hard for me to assist you. Unfortunately, the two individuals (David Rodriguez and Ryan Reagan) who you mention in your complaint used to perform contractual work for Business Recovery Services (BRS). Both of these individuals elected to work for a home-based business called Bankcard Empire, and working for a home-based business is a violation of their contract with BRS.
In April 2010, Bankcard Empire was raided by the United States Postal Inspector's Office and the State of Arizona. Although everyone deserves their day in court, it is most likely that Bankcard Empire was raided for just causes. Subsequently, another business called Business Recovery Group (BRG) has cropped up. Obviously, this name was selected because these predators decided to leverage our successful company tradename in order to prey on unsuspecting individuals. Also, rumor has it that BRG is being operated by former Bankcard Empire employees. If I were a betting man, I would wager that Rodriguez and/or Reagan is/are in the middle of this latest ploy through BRG.
As the owner of BRS, other companies do drop my name in order to give themselves or their company immediate legitimacy. I cannot do anything about that. If that has caused you harm, then I apologize.
Please E-mail me at businessrecoveryservices@yahoo.com, or you can call me at (480) 649-4251. I can assure you that we will get to the bottom of this.
