Buy.com has used an inflated price for an item they are selling for 1daysale.com and when I told them they had the wrong price they blamed it of 1daysale. Buy.com refused to cancel the order and said the order shipped when UPS has on their tracking site that the item has no been picked up for shipment.

Things must be pretty tough if they are selling things for other sites and lying on their site about the cost when their link goes directly to the seller and shows the price that is supposed to be charged. If you do business with Buy.com you need to use PayPal or some other method that will charge back the account immediately when Buy.com screws you

I could have been knocked over with a feather, but, 1saleaday offered a full and complete refund on this item even though they did nothing to cause this issue.
1saladay has certainly proved there are companies out there that are more concerned with making sure their customer are satisfied and properly taken care of.
1saleaday has a customer for life.
Buy.com on the other hand still blames everyone under the sun and has never even attempted to contact me to resolve this except for getting on the phone and telling me it is not their problem.
Buy.com will never have me or my friends and family as a customer ever again.
I am fairly certain this makes them happy as it seems to be their standard operating procedure to irk people and then ignore them.

Part of this was my mistake for trusting Buy.com to show the price their vendor / referral site showed for the item.
Every time I used Buy.com in the past they have had the same price as the agent shipping the item.
What I didn't do, since I had never had a reason to check in the past, was check the sales site to see if that was the price they showed.
It wasn't.
I talked to customer service on 8/1 and told them they should fix this and was totally blown off.
I also told them there was an issue with the price they had listed and was told they would look in to it.
couple of hours later the item was no longer listed on Buy.com.
I know they are a large company but there is no excuse for charging $25.00 more then the selling site on an item that is listed by the seller for $34.95.
Also, telling me they had nothing to do with processing the credit card when they are the ones listed as the merchant that did the charge is inexcusable and an outright lie.
Good thing credit cards can be charged back.

Not understanding your issue

Are you saying that your shopping cart, prior to submitting the order, showed one total, and after your order was placed, whatever confirmation you got showed a higher total? Or did the shopping cart PRIOR to submitting the order, simply show a higher price than the page displaying the item? If the latter scenario was what happened, why on earth did you place the order? If you go to the 1st page showing the item now, does it show the price they charged you? Not that it would matter much. If you can post the product page url here, I'm sure some of us would be curious what we'd see.
As for saying they already shipped, this is the deal with most big retail shippers. Once your order is already boxed up, labeled and stacked in the queue waiting for the carriers to pick up (and that queue can contain thousands of boxes for a company like buy), they can't rescind the order anymore. Basically, it's as good as shipped, even though the carrier hasn't scanned it onto the truck yet.
Many big companies simply don't have a process in place to pull back an order once it has been sent down the line to be picked, boxed, etc. There's too many people involved, too many data entry points involving order in process status, or even too many possible warehouse locations the order might ship out of.
