Sadly, what I thought would make my property unique and beautiful, has been an expensive eye sore!  Thank you Cali bamboo!

  After unpacking the bamboo, we left it in the yard to wait for our contractor to install.  One week later we unrolled the bamboo to find that it had molded in one week.  I promptly called my sales person, who shared that this was normal and to seal the fence after the waxy coating has deteriorated.  After having this fence 10 months, we have washed it approximately 4 to 5 times and had it professionally sealed... only to find that the mold is still coming back and apparently from the inside out. 

It has been a maintenance nightmare, and apparently Cali bamboo is used to this complaint, because they sent me an email informing me that I needed to conduct maintenance to correct the mold.  How much more maintenance can I do, without determining that this fencing should not be sold in my region?  Which incidentally I did ask my sales person, who happily told me that the fencing is sold all over the United States, and apparently must be working on commission.

I have never owned fencing that had to be maintained every 60 days, and a company that will not stand behind their product... only their profits.  Do me a favor and save your self future headaches... buy Cedar!
