Calvary Portfolio Services Fraudulent Billing ripoff Phoenix Arizona

Several years ago my husband and I bought a car. We ran into financial problems and fell behind on the payments with Americredit Financial. Just after Thanksgiving, 2003, the car was repossessed.

In December, 2006, we made a payment to Americredit Financial in the amount of $3233.00 which is what was owed to them. In February, 2007, Calvary Portfolio contacted us by phone stating that we owed them $2955.00. They claimed that they sent us letters requesting that we make payments and to date, we have yet to receive any letters from them even after speaking with them on several occasions.

At this point, we can't even get verification from them or Americredit that anything is due. Our biggest fear is that they will at some point try to take the money illegally from our checking account, or garnish our wages.
