Capital Acquisitions & Management Company, Camco ripoff Trying to collect on a debt that we took to court and won Rockford Illinois

My parents received a call from Capital Acquisitions & Management Company regarding an outstanding debt. When asked the details about the debt, the person on the phone became abusive. He would only state that they owed $8,000 and he was willing to accept $3,000 as a settlement. We asked again for details of the debt and to send documentation, he became abusive and stated that he did not have to provide documentation. He ended the call by stating that the amount owed would go back to $8,000 and hung up the phone.

Several days later, a Ms Ryan spoke to my mother stating the if they did not pay the debt, that she would make it difficult for my parents to obtain credit.

I called Ms Ryan to discuss the conversation she had with my mother. At first, she denied calling my parents, but when I told her that I heard her voicemail message, she changed her story.
She admitted to the call, but stated that she only called to help my mother disbute the debt.
Our problem is this. After repeated request, they have refused to provide any documentation on this debt. From the information that we have forced out of these people, we believe that this concerns a debt from a nursing home that took care of my aunt in 1986 when we were out of the country.
We pervailed when this debt went to court.

From my experience, I believe that this company preys on older people. They bring up debts 10 or 15 yrs old hoping that older people will believe that they just forgot and pay. Or if they bully them enough, they will pay just to avoid getting any more calls.
I have a lawyer that has expressed an interest in making this a class action lawsuit if I can find more people abused by this company.
