I paid my bill online on the due date; however, it was after their "designated daily cut off time" and was not posted until the following day. They then assessed a $39 late fee, which then put my account over the limit and I was charged an additional $39. Suffice it to say, I was charged a whopping $78 because I paid my bill on the due date, but two hours after they allegedly quit posting payments for the day. This is highway robbery!

You admittedly waited 'til the due date, then admittedly paid after the cut off time and were accessed fees accordingly.

Nothing New...

Capital One has more tricks up its sleeve than a magician to assess all sorts of fees. It's up to you to make sure they they don't get away with it....Check your online statement often and be aware of the due dates and always pay at least a week before the due date.....

WAMU uses a trick that CapOne doesn't: If you pay on the due date, they charge you a "convenience" fee of of $12.95
