Capital One Credit Cards Fradulent Charges, Extremely High Interest, No Sense of Customer Service Salt Lake City Utah

So. I have had a Capital One card for about 6 years now. Never had more than a $500 balance on it. Ever.
In February, I recieved a written notice that default interest rates for Capital One would be in the 23% range. Seriously? Not that I had any balance on the card, but that's RIDICULOUS. I held off closing the card entirely, figuring it would still be okay for emergencies, God forbid.
Well, in the past 2 months, my information about my Capital One card has been stolen, my card maxed out.
Both times, I've called to report this and gotten nothing by attitude from the reps. "Are you sure you didn't make these charges?" they say. "How can we be sure you didn't get things and just don't want to pay?"
Bite me. Both times, the charges were to sites who had reported to the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT that they'd been hijacked and their site used by hackers to steal money.
Now I check my balance and see that this same Capital One card has an INTEREST CHARGE from those fraudulent charges.
An hour later, I'm off the phone. The interest charges have been removed, but they're charging me a $39 service fee for the benefits of my card. Screw that. I have a bare-bones basic card with them. No rewards, not even a pretty picture on my card. They won't remove the membership/service charge, saying that company policy changed January 1st, 2009. I got no written notice of this change. The rep refused to remove the charge.
So I closed out my card.
After 6 years, Capital One has lost my business. Here's hoping that everyone else does the same.
