Care Credit GE Money Bank Consumers beware preatory lending practice... Orlando, Florida

It all started on a cold morning of January of 2009. My smaller dog was viciously attacked by my larger dog. As a result, I had to rush my smaller dog to an ER veterinary hospital in Ann Arbor MI( Only ER hospital open in the early morning in the area). Needless to say I was frantic and very alarmed over the situation. Many tears and shock of disbelief that my dog had been attacked by my other larger dog. Given that his eye was completely hanging from the outside of it's socket. I was informed no work would be performed on my pet until the payment was worked out. If the situation had not been an ER situation, I would have walk out of this place.

The long and short of this story is, my bill was $800 for the treatment of my pet. I was approved by the CC company( care credit) for $3,000. I looked at the application and seen that the card co would have permission to jack up interest rates if the balance was not paid in-full within 6 mo. I negoatiate with the hospital and CC to allow me 1 yr to pay this bill without interest or finances charges. If you don't get issues in writing you lose even more so..

In March of 2009 I started to receive a higher payment statement from the CC company and when I inquired about the change in interest percentage and the additional fee for finance charges with GE  Money Bank, they told me the hospital had only given me only 3 mo to pay this bill and the 3 mo was up. I explain to the CC company of the prior aggrement for payment and how I was to have a yr to pay this off. I contact the hospsital and let them know what the CC company had said. Again, long story short, They extended the interest free program for a period of 6 mo as opposed to the yr.  3mo into the payments I notice that the monthly payment had literally double. When I reviewed the bill, it was clear the CC company had started to charges me interest and finances charges. I immediately contacted the company to discuss this change and the CC company essentially tried to pass on the issues to the Hospital not telling them. So I contacted the hospital and when it was all said and done, I only received 6 mo of no interest. The monthly bill seems to never cover the charges and expenses that this company has been charging me.

So for this reason, I want to inform all consumers that this company is not ethical nor using fair lending practices. Please consumer's do not get in the same situation as me. As it stands now, I could never pay this CC given the fact every day it appears to be $100 more tacked on the balance each few weeks.
This does not seem like fair or legal practices. For the others that have written on this company. It appears that they continue to keep ripping people off.

I will probably end up in court over this CC group, Do not use this CC for pets, cosmetic surgery or anything of a serious nature, As today I am getting hosed by them
