Career Services International did not deliver the product presented to me during the sales presentation. One of the primary sales pitches was all data is verified for accuracy. This was not the product delivered.

Professionally written initial drafts of my resume and various cover letters were so poorly written they had to be totally discarded. The professional writers started over and after 6 drafts and multiple requests to make the same changes, requiring me to take on their quality control functions, the documents were finally completed.

My multiple requests for call backs from CSI were not completed. The marketing lists were unusable. Once I started making calls to individuals on their "verified" marketing lists, I found numerous errors. Individuals on the marketing lists didn't work at those companies any longer, never worked at those companies, duplicate letters were mailed to the same individuals with their names spelled differently on each letter, companies listed were out of business, individuals couldn't be reached at the phone numbers provided, etc. etc.

The process of a CSI employee calling to verify each name, telephone number, address and title did not work. The marketing list was completely unusable.

It was only after requesting a refund of my money or I would dispute the credit card charges, did someone actually take a look at their internal processes to see what might have happened. I was told these things had never happened before and they would make things right. After many discussions we could not reach an agreement about my refund. I contacted my credit card company and the charges have been disputed.

A recruiter has since told me this company is a division of Bernard Haldane. I don't know if this is correct, but when I brought it up to CSI they did not deny it. Beware of this company they misrepresent the product they are selling.

CSI / Career Services International / Career Services Factory

CROOKS! This company did everything it could to NOT work with me! They did NOTHING to help me and have yet to deliver on the two key aspects of their service: The targeted company list and mailing the contracted document package to the company list. Yet, they took my $1900 and I've got nothing to show for it.

This company can say whatever they want. Don't believe it! I affirm what this other person said. They are liars! Beware of the Bait and Switch! Bait and Switch is fraud and, therefore, illegal.

As an executive-level professional, they promised to market me at $160k. How can someone with [maybe] a high school diploma know how to target executive level employers? That's right! It's impossible.

I'm currently entering into litigation with this criminal company.

Our side of the story... we tried to settle this dispute...

AUTHOR: Paula - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, October 06, 2005

ZXCCareer Services International is challenging this complaint for the following reasons:

First we did not misrepresent the product; we do verify every contact we mail out. There is an entire department dedicated to this process.

A customized resume, networking letter, and reference lists were activated for the client's use on 6-10-05.

We did not mislead Ms. Diane as to the nature of our business, it is clearly posted on our website, brochure and, online demo.

Our writers have a minimum of a bachelor degree in Writing/English and, are certified by the Professional Association of Resume Writers. Additionally, all writing is done after a detailed interview of the client by their assigned writer. Ms. Diane had such a meeting on 6-8-05.

There was no unfair or deceptive or fraudulent act done in connection with this transaction.

We will continue to guarantee our services by offering continued replacement services for a period of five years and do everything we can to assist Ms. Diane in her job search as per our User Agreement.

Her report also states that we are a division of Bernard Haldane, which is totally incorrect. We are in no way affiliated with any other agency.

We regret not being able to resolve this client's concern, after many discussions we did not see eye to eye on a monetary settlement. We provided custom materials and as per our user agreement Ms. Diane is responsible for these expenses. On 8/1/05 we offered a 25% refund and continued service or 50% and we would part ways. She felt paying 50% of the agreed upon expense and still be provided ongoing coaching and career materials was the only way we could settle the dispute. Please understand due to the out-of-pocket expenses to employ researchers, writers and coaches for Ms. Diane account this request was not feasible.

As in any other service-based company it is nearly impossible to satisfy everyone. We have hundreds of successful clients that we assisted in 2005, and have testimonials available upon request.
