Beware! For everyone that feel as if they were scram please report it to BBB.COM. That were I check to see if there were any complaints. The public must know.
My issue is that this organization misrepresented themselves. They led me to believe that they had contact, a relationship with these organizations. As the process began to unfold I would ask questions to get clarity and the answers were some what evasive. I ask them specifically if the had contact in an email 12/04/07 with Bank of America, Fifth Third Corp (Bonnie spoke of them when she was trying to sell me on their services) Wachovia Bank and Boeing. The answer was yes. So I move forward in the process thinking that they had some type of personal contract or some type relationship with these businesses. But in reality all they really had was contact information which is public knowledge.
If they had answered the question truefully from the beginning I would not accept their service. Most of the services that offered were not done or not even available but they want $1900.00 of my money this is a ripe off. Anna Webber, the administrator step me through the process. The tools that they claim they provide are a hoax as of 12/21/07.
On 11/13/07 Bonnie sent an email (cut and past from their website) with 2 attachments (1) Career Management services (2) Job Search Cost - Tax article from Wall Street Journal Online. There has to be a law to keep companies from misrepresenting themselves/services until they think that they have you pass the point of no return. The fact that Bonnie told me on 12/20/07 yes you could have done this for yourself. I said this is not what I wanted now they want to keep 75% of my money.
This is what I know, when you provide a good service or be honest about the services you provide, then you do not have to be slick with you answers. But this is the country that I put my life on the line for a total of 20 years. And I come back home can't find a job and get ripe off. So how is that right or just!

Satisfied Customer

I am currently a satisfied customer of Career Services International (CSI). The person filing this report sounds crazy. The CSI website is clear on the services they offer. CSI has reported that they already provided services to this person, such as resume and letter writing and the customer still requested a refund.
To say that someone can do something themselves is a ridiculous statement. We all can write our own resumes, though we still are willing to pay people to do it. The idea that CSI personally knows the companies is also crazy. CSI clearly indicates they will access databases and assist in doing a mass mailing. CSI provides a service and should be paid for that service.
BTW, part of the $1900 that I paid included coaching. The first coach and I were not a good fit and CSI happily provided me with an alternate coach.

Not involved

I have no connection with CS International or any knowledge of their success or failure as a placement firm. I have however just gotten off the phone with a CS International Career Consultant. Her explanation of services made complete sense and the price for these services is NOT out of line. I have in the past spoken to other placement services and do feel they serve a useful purpose. However, the Career Consultant DID state they had a personal relationship with 10,000 companies.
At this time I'm not planning to use their services but will continue to research the company for possible future engagements.

CSI does NOT have personal relatinship with company even though they say so on the phone

To the person who stated
"which straightforwardly states that our company maintains a multi-tiered database of millions of contacts. Nowhere is it represented that we have a personal relationship with these contacts."
Well the CSI individual who contacted me on the phone said she did indeed have personal relationships with these contacts. Why else would you use their services. I could do what they do on the internet myself. She (Emily) specifically stated CSI knew these contacts and would negotiate salary etc on your behalf. CSI is lying.

This company can say whatever they want. Don't believe it! I affirm what this other person said. They are liars! Beware of the Bait and Switch! Bait and Switch is fraud and, therefore, illegal.
As an executive-level professional, they promised to market me at $160k. How can someone with [maybe] a high school diploma know how to target executive level employers? That's right! It's impossible.
I'm currently entering into litigation with this criminal company.

There was no good-faith effort by this woman to work with us to resolve her issues.

There are two sides to every story. Before we tell ours, we think the public should know that RipOff Report does not verify the accuracy of reports filed on their website and cites the First Amendment and the Communications Decency Act to avoid responsibility for the truth or falsity of these reports. We caution users to beware that many good businesses are unfairly slandered and maligned by people who file reports; there is no accountability since reports are posted anonymously. RipOff Report also refuses to remove or change reports, even at the request of the person who made the report.
As with any other service-based company, it is nearly impossible to satisfy everyone. CS International has assisted thousands of successful clients and can provide testimonials upon request.
We identified Ms. R by her writing style (e.g., grammatical errors) and content of this complaint. Before retaining our services, she received a free consultation and was encouraged to thoroughly review our website (www.careersi.com), which straightforwardly states that our company maintains a multi-tiered database of millions of contacts. Nowhere is it represented that we have a personal relationship with these contacts. In addition, our website specifically sets forth that the client will market yourself directly to the contacts. All of this is clearly posted on our website, brochure, and online demo, which is accessible to any person who wishes to do due diligence prior to retaining CS International.
There was no unfair or deceptive or fraudulent act in connection with this transaction. Ms. R participated in creation of a customized resume, cover letter, networking letter, and reference lists. In addition, she directed us to perfect a mailing on her behalf. The email she claims she has is actually a note left on our communications board on December 4th that asks if we have contact information for specific entities. It does not ask if we have a personal relationship or personal contact with these organizations.
Ms. R contends that CS International did not answer her questions truefully [sic]. Our employees honestly answered the questions as asked by Ms. R. She contends that she thought she was purchasing contacts that we have a relationship with. Had Ms. R done due diligence, she would realize this is the type of service rendered by recruiters who typically charge 20 to 30% of the client's first year wages for their services. These fees are high because of the expense of maintaining personal contacts and relationships. As a professional who represents herself as experienced in financial management, relationship building, and budgeting, Ms. R should have realized that her expectations of our services were unrealistic given what she paid.
In accordance with our cancellation policy, Ms. R is not entitled to any refund, yet she was offered a good faith refund of 25% that she rejected. We regret not being able to resolve this client's concern. She exhibited a lack of good faith, was antagonistic and uncooperative, and intentionally filed complaints knowing that our director of client services was on vacation and wanted to try to mitigate Ms. R's concerns. Ms. R is responsible for expenses of services rendered and has used hostility to attempt to bully us into yielding to her demands.
