This was the biggest waste of my hard earned money ever. $1900 when I was struggling to get a better job. The person from Career Services International (CSI) who called me the first time (probably got my number form Career Builder or something) was so good at what she did. She first baited me by making me think she was recruiting for a position- suddenly it turned out about how she can get me 100 interviews in a month etc etc. Before I knew it I was convinced my Resume was all messed up and there was no way I could get a job on my own.By the end of the call I had signed up by paying for half the amount to Career Services International (CSI)
When Career Services International (CSI) sent me the list of targetted employees, I was shocked to see how wrong some of the information was (like contact names etc)- since I knew some of the companies. Anyway, I convinced myself that this will work, got myself a private cell phone and began making the 20 calls a day. I was surprised when some said they had not received the premailer that they had sent out.

To be honest, I should not have been surprised at the responses I got (when I got someone live on the phone- 75% were voice mails who never returned my calls)..Imagine you are busy individual and someone calls you out of the bluye and starts rattling off to you- how he can make a difference to the company!! Bull...I hated doing this from the beginning.
Moreover the Career Services International (CSI) folks should realize that not everyone has got the gift of gab like their professional floosies..Needless to say, I quit doing this after a week of my morale taking a beating. I really need this when I was already feeling low enough.

When I called to complain and said I wanted atleast half refunded, they put me in touch with the Career Services International (CSI) top person- another great smooth talker. She went on to even further demoralize me saying that if I could not convince a prospective employee on the phone then I am no use to him etc.. Finally, beaten I just gave up and went back to my old methoods of looking around for jobs. A year later I am still stuick at the dead beat job that I have -minus $1900!!!
Everyone -please donot get fooled by these kinds of Professional Coaches etc

Don't believe this plant! Report CSI to BBB and AG!

AUTHOR: kris - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 15, 2009

Given the ethics of this company, I suspect this "consumer comment" to be planted by the firm.

They don't tell you up-front that you're required to cold call busy executives, get through their gate-keepers, smooth talk total strangers in the hope that these people will both have a job and want to hire you for it, based on one annoying call!  CSI "coaches" only tell you this AFTER you've paid the $1900.  Their telemarketer and website also tell you they will test you then find the perfect career and job for you.  Don't believe it!

If you've been similarly victimized by this sleazy firm, I urge you to file complaints with the FL Better Business Bureau and the FL Attorney General's office.

If Your Old Method Didn't Work, Try Another One

CSI was great for me. This guy says his old way doesn't work and he just keeps doing it. Isn't that the definition of insanity?

I went in wanting to learn and I learned more than I ever dreamed. And their method worked for me.

You can't quit half way through and say it's no good. That's like driving half way to the Grand Canyon and saying it's a rip because it didn't live up to the hype when you didn't even see it.

I got a couple "letter? What letter?" I said maybe it didn't make it through the mail room, how should I address it to make sure it gets through? I'm hardly a smooth talker, and my heart was pounding each time I called someone, but several gave me a phone interview, a couple called me in, and one guy made a great offer which I took. Their method works if you just follow through.
