Well, I wish I would have read this before I gave these scammers $219 yesterday!  $116 for the "port fees" and $99 for my "upgraded state room"!  I am a single Mother with two children but currently engaged.  I am not broke but I work very hard for my income and am unfortunately too nice!  The salesman explained that if I didn't act now that he would have to go on to the next person.  After agreeing to the cruise he put me on hold and his supervisor continued the conversation trying to sell me the extended say in FL and 7 day rental car.  Luckily I said "No thanks"  I have already spent enough.  He asked a few more times then when I started to get a little disgruntled he backed off.  I just assumed they were making a commission off of this.  Everything made sense.  He even went as far to tell me that he and his wife had taken this cruise 4 times.  Explained how nice it was.

When the gentleman on the phone explained I had "won" the cruise I was excited thinking this would be a great gift for my Fiancee for Valentines Day.  At first, of course, I didn't believe a word he said but as the conversation continued it SEEMED legit.  My insticts told me to go to rip off report because I had recently been contacted by the Dean Graziosi scammers too but after reading the rip off reports I quickly nipped it in the bud.  Yes, if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is. This just took place yesterday (Saturday) so after speaking with my bank tonight they said to call first thing in the a.m. and they could probably just reverse the charge since it is a scam.  Of course I immediately cut off my card so there can me no subsequent charges.  Makes me very sad that people can't find something better to do with their time!

Even if it's an old ship that has had a make-over, I have read the other reports of not being able to follow through with the trip after scheduling. How far can this go until someone stops these people?

AND how did Carmen Electra get into this whole thing?  Is that a case of copy and paste something from another cruise line advertisment?

Please advise if anyone else has had this same scenario?

A Lot of BS...

AUTHOR: Noneya - (USA)

J.K. needs to stop commenting on all these posts like they are the patron saint of Caribeean Cruise Lines defunct scammer operation. Tell me, do they pay you extra to sit online and try to save the companies behinds now that the word is out that your company is nothing more than a bunch of scam artists?

Here's the facts about the 'free' cruise...

First, if you don't take the extra vacation packages to NV, Mexico, and wherever else they are scamming you for this month, then after the cruise they charge your credit card for the full price of the so-called 'free' cruise that you won.

Next, the Bahamas Celebration cruise ship is nothing to celebrate about. It's a refurbished cold weather ferry that was about to be made into scrap metal when this company bought it. There are no open air areas to lounge and enjoy the sun, the air conditioning does not work, the 'free' cabin is no bigger than a closet, the electrical outlets are all set up for European electronics, and there is no TV (unless you pay a fee equivalent to purchasing a TV to rent one.) Oh yes you can indeed upgrade your 'free' cabin to a nicer one, for the cost of what you would pay to go on a reputable cruise line in the first place, and then when it's time for the trip and you embark on the cruise, they tell you that room you paid an arm and a leg to upgrade to is no longer available and it's not their fault.

Also, this whole 'free' cruise and vacation of a lifetime is nothing more than a opportunity for Ramada Vacation Village to push a time share pitch on the unsuspecting consumers. You have to drive to the Ramada is a very shady neighborhood and sit through a pitch to get your cruise vouchers and if you refuse to do so, they will give you the vouchers and then bill you for the full price of the trip once again that you supposedly won.

Last, if you do a search for Caribbean Cruise Lines or Bahamas Celebration online, there are no returns except for bad reviews and scam reports, you cannot find one good thing anyone has to say about this cruise line or the trip anywhere.

Sorry J.K., I see that you don't work there anymore, but the consumers speak for themselves.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Well okay then

Umm first off I'd like to say I don't know if "lakeland fl" is indeed an ex-employee, but where I worked, there were no "drug addicts," everyone was very professional, courteous and just the right amount of crazy to be hyped every time they got on the phone -- but that's a good thing.

As for your report, I have no idea where "$219" comes for two reasons. First of all, 116 + 99 = 215. Secondly, the package runs $798, not $219. What is it for $798, you ask? Indeed, you get the free cruise (for up to FOUR), but ONLY when you purchase a highly discounted vacation package to Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, Las vegas and Puerto Vallarta. You also get a rental car with unlimited mileage in Florida.

The package IS legit. They are who they say they are and while the tactic may seem a bit deceptive it's effective and can indeed save you A LOT of money if you were to reserve these trips yourself.

And Carmen Electra is (or was, since she's no longer) their spokesperson for the commercials.
