I got the free vacation voucher in the mail from Caribbean Cruise Line and called the number. After an hour of being on the phone with these people and them pushing their spiel, I explained that I could not afford what they were asking for upfront.

A manager then got on the phone with me and said that they would take payments and I would have 2 years to book a vacation date as I did not want to do it right then. Stupidly, I gave them my card number. After I got off the phone with them I changed my mind and called right back and asked for my money back.

It took me another HOUR to get someone to agree to give me my money back. Only this time I had to endure being insulted and yelled at! I explained to the guy that I made a rash choice and as a single parent with 2 kids I could not afford even the payments right now. I ended up having to tell him that he was obviously working for a scam company because any reputable cruise line would give me my money back, especially when I had not yet booked a date with them!

Caribbean Cruise Line took the 1st payment from my bank account anyway and now I have to have my bank fight them for the money.

DON'T do business with them!

I'm Sorry

I'm the original poster of another complaint about this company on here that you commented on, and I'm sorry this also happened to you, I would definitely ask your credit card company or debit card provider to change the number of whatever card you gave them and issue you a new card. They should have no problem doing this, I wouldn't trust these people with my information.

I too was badgered and belittled when I tried to cancel this scam 'vacation' and get a refund, I was able to get the refund, but I had to endure a lot of mental anguish and abuse to do so. No company should train their employees to conduct business in that manner, not only is it unprofessional, but any reputable company would never treat their 'customers' that way, and that just goes to show that they are a BS operation.

I uncovered some more interesting factoids about this company from other customers they scammed, turns out that even though they tell you on the phone that you don't have to purchase the extended and extra vacations packages, if you just take the free cruise and then do not purchase their other offers, they bill your credit card for the full amount of their supposed 'free' cruise. What a great company, huh?
