Carports Unlimited of Texas Carports of Houston Carports Unlimited Carports of Texas Contracted to build residential carport. Paid $1,800.00 to start. The owner, James Dampler, deposited my check and did not deliver the carport as agreed. Although promised, no refund was sent. Pasadena Texas

March 20, 2018, James James Dampler agreed to build a new carport and provided a price of $3,650.00 to install. He required 1/2 deposit to order the carport to be built. The 1/2 was paid to James Dampler on same day as sigining of agreement. He scheduled delivery & install for April 11.

April 11 arrived and no crew came to install. I tried several times to reach James Dampler. It was next day he finally returned my call. At that time he made excuses for not starting on agreed date. He asked for additional time. We agreed on April 17 or 18. Again he did not arrive to install. More calls not returned. 

Contact was made to James Dampler by Text Message. He responded by Text Message saying he needs more time but can not give me a date when. At that time I canceled my order and requested a full refund. He agreed an made the commitment to send a full refund by mail by April 24. 

It is now April 30 with no refund recieved. Called James Dampler and he put it off on his wife explaining she was the one to mail the check. He does not know why she did not mail it as she was told.

I then asked James Dampler to take a quick photo of the Cashiers Check receipt and send this to me for proof he did as he said. He could not do that. Claimed he did not have the receipt with him. He woould need ttime to find it.

I belive James Dampler to be a dishomest person that will take your money and deliver nothing in return. Using James Dampler, or anyone or business that he operated under is a bad choice. He will take your money. He is not an honest person. I believe him to be a habitual lier. Putting blame on one's wife is also a real low thing to do.

It is my hope I can deal with James Dampler on a legal basis. Although I do not want to spend attorney money, this case calls for it. Each conversation was recorded. He was told I was recording each conversation. I have kept and recorded each text message sent by me and sent to me by James Dampler. All documented.

My claims about James Dampler are accurate and complete.
