CBCS has a large number of complaints on Ripoff Reports. Many are the same as mine, an offer to settle for half of a non-existent debt. Many are worse than that, with aggressive phone calls and flagrant violations of the Fair Credit Collection Practices Act. In my case, it is simply outright fraud. My entire 40-year credit report has no such account number, nor do I have any past due debts at all. This is criminal activity.
