CB&T, Columbus Bank And Trust ripoff, liars, conniving, Columbus Georgia

CB&T or Columbus Bank and Trust of Columbus, GA is the worst bank I have ever done business with. I was recently married and wanted to add my husband to a new account I just opend with them.

The problem is my husband used to work for them and still had fees he needed to pay off from an old account. NO PROBLEM! We went in there and told them about the old account that needed to be paid. The rep, Marty Slaughter, advised that she would need to see if he could have another account at CB&T. She went into someone's office and cam back & told us no probnmlem. He could be added but we needed to pay the old account off. So I went to the counter & paid the fee. As soon as I returnd Marty said, Oh I'm sorry I incurred another stop & it can't be overriden.

They basically lied to us because they thought they would never get their money for the old fee. I cannot believe that a bank would use such tactics but pride themselves on honesty. This bank is so full of lies and deception that I have decided to close all my accounts with them.

So BEWARE of CB&T, Columbus Bank and Trust! This is NOT an honest bank and their employees are trained liars! My next step is filing a complaint with the BBB.
