CCA CCA :A collections company who's employees need to talk to a manager before giving out their website and fax. Hmm, a bit shady! Norwell Massachusetts

Last year I obtained mobile service from AT&T (then Cingular Wireless). My remaining balance was that of $165.91 which I paid on 12/04/07. However, I being a responsible person with my bills and extremely proud of my credit score was very surprised when a creditor denied me a small loan. I immediately phoned Equifax and was informed that a so called collections company that works for AT&T which goes by the name CCA was responsible for the negative report.

Thereafter I contacted AT&T where a supervisor who's name I don't recall confirmed to me that a collections notice should not have gone out given the timeline we were in. So I proceeded to call "CCA" where I was tossed back and forth made to wait a very long time between transfers and to top it off, every single employee I spoke with, including a supervisor by the name of Katherine, expressed extremely rude behavior.

Yet, the tip of the iceburg was when speaking to Michelle who not only spoke to me with disrespect but refused to give me legitimate fax number and website information. Her excuse was "she had to get permission from a manager before she could give out such information". Michelle did not want to give me further information about my issue (weird huh?) so she immediately faxed me a letter stating that CCA would immediately have the negative report removed. Now that is scary; to know that anyone can have access to such valuable information of your life.

Now you tell me, what legitimate company needs permission to give out such information as a website. However, Equifax has launched an investigation on my behalf from which I should hear of soon.

Will I ever trust a cellular phone company again? Yes. Will I ever engage in a contract with a company (AT&T) who utilizes the services of a shady business?
Absolutely Not!!!
