CEC Solutions promises to repair your credit and finance you a brand new computer after a 99.00 down pymt. and 5 consecutive pymts. At that point they will ship your computer. Well I have forfullied all requirements and still no computer. This has been going on since October 1. At this point when you call you get put on hold for ever. I am really scared because I have paid them over 600.00$ and every two weeks they continue to take out 69.00$ electronicaly from my account. When I finally did talk with some they told me if I stopped making pymts they would not refund anything and I would not get the computer. Iniatialy in October I was told I would have it in time for my kids Christmas present. I recently received a letter that stated I elected to suspend or cancel which will put me in default of my account. I guess I am out everything. I have never stopped or skipped my pymts. the last one came out on 12/21/07 the next is scheduled for 01/04/08 please help!!!!!!!

#3 Consumer Suggestion
Time to get them!!!!!
AUTHOR: Cheryl - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, October 22, 2008
Have you received your Merchandise?
James Gibson from CEC aka Guaranteed Consumer Funding from McLean, VA. Now. He gave me this number (703) 955-4001 ext 5110 for him, I will not call him because when you talk to him or any other REP. Like Denial @ ext 2525 they try to convince you this is no scam, Even the employees are fooled by this company one said REBUTTAL Employee...Customer needs to take the time to understand layaway. This employee has been fooled I have been approved for finance, the advertisement reads: All we ask is that you become creditworthy with us by building a short credit history by paying a small, one-time activation fee, then paying 5 consecutive weeks worth of layaway payments. Then we will finance the balance of your purchase price, order your computer and have it shipped directly to your home. Can this advertisement contradict the contractual agreement? Then when you read about all the people who have this same problem it is hard to believe that they are not running a scam. I wish I had read about this Company before I trusted them. Because we contact them for a computer or other merchandise they offer, due to our credit we can not get it any other way. I heard there Ad on a Radio Station I trusted in California called the Bob and Tom Show FM 104.1. You would think before offering this service to their listener's that they (The Bob and Tom Show) would check out the company. Including television station who advertises them. I am sending all evidence of this fraud everywhere I can think of, so that this will stop, it is so sad to read of all of us that have been ripped off by them, From http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/310/RipOff0310191.htm they should be ashamed, and arrested. This letter has been sent to all that have been affected by Guaranteed Consumer funding aka CEC Solutions LLC.
James Gibson from CEC calls me on October 21st 2008 and informs me that they do not feel comfortable with my emails because I kept mentioning getting a lawyer, due to all the promises of the delivery and I have made 16 payments of $59.98 plus an activation fee of $99.00. I started this process in March 2008, trusting this company that I would receive this computer after the 5 consecutive payments as they advertise. This is False Advertisement and I will continue with filing claims with the Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission. You all must do the same please, we must stop them. He then canceled my account, because I kept telling them I would get a lawyer and that I filed a complaint with the BBB. This company preys on low income and fixed income individuals that my have to breech the contract, they don't deliver any merchandise in hope that you will get so frustrated and cancel. And in this contract you will lose your money because you canceled, this is how they get you, Now they can keep all your money. I am moving forward, I did not cancel they did! there has to be a law against this and I will not stop until this is made right. I have contacted channel 3 in California and will continue on with, David Horowitz fightback.com and Kurtis Ming who helps with consumer problems on channel 13 here in California. Please contact me if you all want to get a class action suite going on Guaranteed Consumer Funding AKA CEC Solutions, I am looking for a Lawyer now that will help us. Good luck to you all Fight Back! OH PLEASE! The proof is in the pudding. I am out my money plain and simple. CEC elected to stop taking my money not me . You mean to tell me that paying over $650.00 in 8 weeks(at christmas time) is an indication of someone trying to rip you off then I"m GOD! I will tell you what whom ever is reading this do me A favor call the number listed above between 11:00 Am and 7:00 Pm eastern standart time Mon. thru Fri. and try to speak with a human. Better yet send them some money first.
Oh I forgot the order number (800)473-1746 is different than "customer service". They also have different web pages. Look them up on line and read about all the free stuff you get when you buy into their program and read how to "TURBO CHARGE" your order to speed up the no credit check process. The fact of the matter is I should have checked on their creditability. What a cowardly thing to do the "company" is trying to discredit me.
I work two jobs have 3 children and my wife of 25 years works two jobs as well. I have no problem admitting that I have credit problems, yes I have gone bankrupt in the past It happens before you know it. That makes me a bad person,I think not. If someone would like to call me (((ROR removed for security purposes))) I will answer or return your call,as I don't have two numbers! PS.NO DOWN PAYMENT REQUIRED

#1 UPDATE Employee
Customer was not willing to comply to previously agreed upon terms and conditions
AUTHOR: Tim - (U.S.A.)

Mr. A---- was very aware of our process. As part of GCF's "Quality Assurance Policy" ALL customers must agree to the following terms and conditions before they become "GCF Verified Customers": (i) all payments are legally binding and (ii) non-refundable.
We require that each prospective customer agree to these terms because unlike other companies that claim to provide credit repair services and/or sell consumer goods on deferred payments, we never run a credit check on a prospective customer before we extend credit.
Since we deal primarily with consumers who are considered to be "sub prime" or "credit impaired", our deferred payment terms are designed to eliminate customers who may be "window shoppers" or "tire kickers", i.e., prospective customers who are not serious about improving their creditworthiness by participating in our special deferred financing arrangement that allows customers to purchase name brand, high quality consumer electronics on deferred payment terms even though they have impaired credit.
When a prospective customer agrees to our terms and conditions then they become a "GCF Verified Customer" and they are then verbally informed of the following:
1. Each customer is provided with our special customer care toll free phone number so that if they do not receive their membership kit due to data entry error, mail delivery issues, etc., they can call us directly.
2. Easy online access to contact us and as well as to view their account status.
3. They should receive their membership kit in the mail within a week, so they can contact us in the event it does not show up within that time period.
4. The terms of their lay away agreement, which includes (i) that they will be charged an initial$99.00 dollar activation payment, and (ii) that they will have to sign a written agreement that creates a contractual commitment to a 12 month lay away payment plan. If a customer does not sign our contract, otherwise fails to meet the minimum terms or fails to completely fill out the application, including the payment frequency and start dates for debits that they authorize, their account is suspended and no further charges are debited from their personal bank account.
5. Minimum payment requirements demonstrate that the customer is creditworthy enough for us to change their status from the lay away agreement to a revolving installment charge agreement.
6. The customer's account is considered ACTIVE by reason of their specific authorization to debit their bank account..
7. Our system is automated so that if the customer wants to make a payment plan change, which includes postponing or deferring payments for any reason, the system requires 5 business days to make an adjustment.
8. MOST IMPORTANTLY: All payment plan changes must be accomplished through contacting our customer care department (this is also reinforced in our welcome letter that accompanies the membership kit)
We give this precise information to each and every customer during the initial enrollment process to prevent any confusion or future misunderstanding about their future obligations. We give 100% full disclosure and our automated system can and will only do what our customers authorize us to do.
Most of customers who file complaints claim they do not fully understand our financial program or possibly choose not to comply with our terms and conditions that were initially set forth and agreed upon by both parties. Fully Ninety Five Percent (95%) of our customers have impaired credit , i.e., they either have no credit, or worst they have bad credit which is usually a result of failing to faithfully perform the terms and conditions of other credit arrangements they have had with other companies before they even enroll in our program.
In short our customers have a well defined history of not making payments and honoring and abiding by credit terms and conditions. Since we do not conduct a credit check to enroll our customers, we encounter a small percentage of customers who do not even comply with our terms which results in their accounts being suspended by our company. We are not an egregious company, so we will proactively disable a customer's active payment plan if they display behavior that matches our profile of a customer who is definitely going to default in performing their contractual obligations.
It is not science, but there are typically two indicators that predict a customer is going to default: first, if a customer claims either that they do not understand our financial program (which could lead them to default on their loan), or second, and at worst, a customer states that they have no intention in honoring the terms of their obligation ( which means they are going to default). If the customer does not understand, suspension of the customer's account and ceasing to debit the customer's bank account, gives both parties the time to get on the same page, and sometimes, because of our evaluation of the customer's intentions, we may choose not to finance a customer.
Our company is obligated to send merchandise as long as our customers are making payments towards their purchase. As a lender, we have the right to revoke providing financing to anyone who may exhibit malicious behavior. Customers who exhibit malicious behavior tend to file invalid or false complaints looking for anyone and any governmental agency to allow the customer to avoid performing their contractual obligations. These same customers tend to have similar personality traits, such as the inability to effectively listen, the inability to reason effectively and the inability to be accountable for their actions.
We are a consumer friendly company which can and will always be willing to help all of our customers succeed within our financial program. Of course this becomes an impossible task for customers who do not have any intention in honoring their contractual agreements.
