Celebrity Resorts, Fraudulent charges Reno Nevada

Late December 2006 I called the resort at the then working # 800-423-8604 and informed the person who answered the phone that we no longer wanted the property were not paying the fees and giving it back to them. The reply was we don't take them back.

Occasionally since then we've written messages to that effect on their bills and sent them back but they have been ignored.

At this point they are billing phony fees totalling $1742.78. The property is worthless. Units are offered for sale as low as $200.00 and do not sell.
They threathen to charge and additional 40% in fees to collect. Following is the exact message on their collection letter:

"Further collection activing will follow sixty days from the due date of the letter, which may include referral to an independent collection agency. A fee of up to 40% will be added to your account balance as a cost of collection, and you may also e liable for attorney fees. These costs may be secured by a lien against your timeshare interest. If your account remains delinquent, we enofre the lien and initiate a foreclosure action resulting in addtional costs and negative credit reporting."

All we want to do is give the timeshare interest back to them. We have excellent credit and don't want it hurt by fraudulent corportation.
