I was contacted on my cell phone and told I could receive a unsecured credit card with low interest rates and no annual fees. I had recently applied for a credit card online and assumed that is where they got my name and number. I was told I only had to pay a $299 processing fee and that would ensure my low interest rate. Then I could reimburse myself the $299 on the credit card. I thought this was great so I could do some Christmas shopping. I asked "Mark Wilson", the person to whom I was speaking, if this was a secured card and he said absolutely not. He then transferred me to a "supervisor" for authorization, Mr. Colin Brown. The questions were generic, name, address, account information. No real information about the card. I called back to cancel the order and the money was taken out anyway.

When I received the package, it was not a credit card but application for a secured credit card. I was furious. I immediately called them back and was told they would request a refund and to call back in 5 business days. Of course, my request was denied. Convienantly, the only conversation recorded was the authorization and not the first conversation about what I was purchasing. I was told there were no supervisors and then I was told one was not available. I called everyday for a week and only got a recording.

I found this site and went to my bank. They told they would file the dipute, but the company had 4 months to dispute it by state law. And if they produce the recording they could not reverse the charges.

I called Central Support back and Mr. Frank Johnson told me that he had never heard complaints like this before on Central Support as they do customer service for 14 companies. He would personally take my file to the refund department (yeah right) and to call back in 5 days (again). I told him I had contacted my attorney. I am confident I will never see my money and I have a box full of junk.
