I have been working with CIS for some back taxes owed to the IRS. After paying thousands of dollars to them for representation they simply closed their doors and said "sorry for the inconvenience". (See their Website)

Now the IRS is coming at me full-force, seeing that I am defenseless. The money I spent on CIS sure could help me with my taxes but now I'm defenseless and broke.

Is there any recourse against them? I am paid-in-full for services never rendered and left completely vulnerable to IRS action because of it.
