Charter Communications "decided" on 12/26 that I am a spammer. I am self employed and work out of my home. Because of my new "550 SPAM" status, I can no longer send emails that contain links or graphics to anyone except myself or the test account at Charter.
For someone who works on websites and creates ads, this has been more than an inconvenience to my livelihood.
I tried to contact them and they insisted the problem was on my end (Outlook, etc.) However, the bouncebacks I get when I try to send any email with more than txt content, say the following:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

I can understand protecting their customes from SPAM, but my position is that if you have the ability to impose restrictions on someone, you should have your customer service team trained to help those of us who are falsely labeled as Spam Senders.
Basically, I'm paying for Internet Service with no email and I'm locked into a pacakge that I asked 3x to get out of because of this, but was told NO.
Be very aware of Charter, it's practices, and its powerless Customer Service Reps.

I cannot stand businesses that want you to subscribe to a service that their Reps never tell you about, even when asked. I do operate a business from my home and I made that clear when I started with Charter. I was told by your Reps which "Bundle" would suit me best and that was that.
I'm more than willing to subscribe to your HINT HINT business plan, but in order to do so I'll need a rep on the other end of the line that knows what it is, how much it costs and the ever-important detail of how to switch my account to this type of service.
So, with that, it appears as though I'll be staying with the plan I'm currently on - because there's no hope of Charter having product knowledge and the ability to communicate it to their new and existing customer base.
Thanks for the worst, most unreliable Internet and e-mail service I've ever experienced.

I must ask if you subscribe to Charter Residential Internet or Charter Business. If you run a business out of your home and have residential service then you are violating Charter's Terms of Agreement. Also most users of residential dont e-mail in bulk like you may be doing and if thats the case you may have been flagged by Charter as a spammer. However most likely you are using outlook or outlook express and have a problem with that program which we dont support as it is a Microsoft product. Try a repair or reinstall of your e-mail program. I personally cant stand people that run a business out of their home and have resedential internet service and expect us to be out there to fix the internet when down within 24 hours. Charter Business however will. Hint Hint to all the ones out there with a small home business
