I traded in my car that was financed through Chase Auto Finance. The dealership where I purchased my new car, called to get a pay-off balance. There were only two months remaining on my loan. They sent them a pay-off check for those last two months. I then called the next day, as instructed by the dealership, to stop the automatic payment deductions for this loan. I called 3 weeks prior to when the next payment would have been due. Chase assured me that everything was taken care of and that they would not be taking any more payments out of my account at all.
Well they lied because the next months payment was auto-deducted from my account. I called them right away and informed them of their mistake. Not only were they extremely rude and transfered me to many different people and have me leave messages with people who never returned my calls, in the end they tried to tell me that the extra payment that was made didn't show up on their system so there was nothing that they could do.
Someone even snapped at me and told me that because my account was deliquent I had no reason to be upset!! But his mistake again, my account was not deliquent and never had been, he never even apologized for being so rude. One guy had me fax him my bank statement showing the deduction, however when I tried to do that apparently something was wrong with their fax machine and he had no other option for me.
I called back again and talked to his supervisor, who was just as unhelpful as he was. She told me to wait until next week to see if their system updates and shows a credit otherwise there is not a thing that she can do to help me. So because they screwed up in the first place and didn't stop the auto payment in the first place, I am out that $325.00.
I am trying to get further information from the dealership where I bought my new car to see if they have documentaion of the pay-off amount. But the thing that I am most upset about is that my new auto loan is also through Chase.
I am so upset right now, and everyone that I have talked to at Chase just does not care at all and they just keep telling me that it is my problem and there is nothing that they can do!!
