Chase Bank Mortgage Ripoff Internet, Kentucky
*Consumer Comment: ATM Fees?
*Consumer Comment: Chase Bank on ATM fee
Chase bank just increase my house payment by $100 a month. When they paid my property taxes my escrow was short $480. So I expected my payment to go up $40-45 a month. BUt no. Chase bank decides that they want a 2 month cushion in the account along with the increase of 40 a month. So not only do I have to scrape together anothe $100 a month but they get to sit on this extra $800 a year without having to pay me any intrest. And when I asked what would happen next year.........if my payment would go down because they have their cushion, I was told no that the payment would stay the same.

ATM Fees?

Where is the RipOff?
According to the above poster Chase tried to raise fees and people didn't like it so they decided not to follow through.
What no Government inteference, no Congressional studies, no new laws forcing them to lower their fees. You mean they actually listened to people(who by the way are not customers). Isn't that how free enterprise is supposed to work?
Of course there are ways to avoid any "Out of Network" fees. Go to your own bank to withdraw the money or when you go to a store be sure to get cash back.

Chase Bank on ATM fee

It seems that Chase Bank can't stay out of the news. Aside from this concern, another concern is about the increase of ATM fee. Out of network customers can breathe easily, as Chase bank is canceling its pilot program of charging non-Chase customers a lot to use Chase ATMs. Chase wanted to see if people would be willing to pay more to use its extensive ATM network, and raised ATM fees in certain areas to $4 and $5. Chase will not be raising fees that high, as fewer individuals are willing to pay that much to use an ATM. They weren't too happy when they had to take out an unsecured loan to access their own money.
