I recently moved from Indiana to Illinois and was looking for a moving company.  After visiting a website and filling out a request for free estimates I was contacted by Felipe from Chase Relocations.

While pondering over my decision of a moving company I received several phone calls and emails from Felipe to solicit my business.  One major factor in choosing a moving company was that my items would be picked up from Indiana and moved to Illinois in the same day.  I was guaranteed more than once that is could and would  occur. I was also told that I could add and remove items up until 24 hours before the move and I would receive a guaranteed rate.

Approximately 1 1/2 weeks before my move I decided to go with Chase Relocations. I paid a $300, deposit on a credit card to hold the move.  For the next week or so  before my move I again had several phone conversations and email exchanges with Felipe about adding and removing the items on my order.  Throughout this time period I asked several times about a confirmation time that my items would be picked up th e day I was scheduled to move.  I was told by Felipe that he could not confirm a time, but the driver would contact me 24 hours before the move to confirm a moving time specifically asked Felipe what time they closed on Sunday so I could call and change any last minute items before the moving day.  I was told they closed at 3pm EST.

I was scheduled to move on a Monday so I called at 2:32pm EST, the Sunday before to add and delete my final items for the move, and to get a confirmation time for my move.  When I called Chase Relocation the phone was set to an after business hour message. I continued to call up until 3:30pm EST.  You also could not leave a mesage.  I never heard from the movers or Chase Relocation the day before to confirm my moving time.

As of 9:30AM, the day of the move I had not heard from the driver or Chase Relocation.  I called numerous times with no answer from anyone in the company and the phone just cutting off.  At approximately 11:30, I got a hold of Felipe.  He was surprised that I had not heard from the driver said he would contact the driver and get back with me.  I never heard back from Felipe and he never answered his phone again.

In the meantime I had to scramble and find another mover because I had to move that day! I continuously called the company with no answer so I sent an email to Felipe informing him that he needed to contact me immediately because his company broke the contract and my deposit needed to be refunded.

I continued to call days later with no answer by anyone in the company.  I finally got a hold of a sales rep named Brian.  He informed me that he would contact the billing department about my refund because of my problems with the company.  He also gave me the email of Joe the business manager.  I sent Joe, Felipe, and Brian and email and received no response from anyone.

I have continued to call and send emails informing this company that my deposit needed to be refunded or I would contact an attorney, and the State Attorney General Office.
