CIC Credit Monitor Service Charged $79.95 for "Free" Credit History Report Orange california

I wanted to look at my credit history due to the fact that I was involved in purchasing a house. I went online to Google and the first website that came up was this one. I went through all the steps of submitting my information. Keep in mind that it does say this is a trial membership, but absolutely NOWHERE on the website is there anything that mentions an $80 fee.

The 2nd page has a small disclaimer at the bottom that says this is a free trial membership and your credit card will be charged $80 if not cancelled after 30 days. What a bunch of horsecrap. How can they advertise the credit report as "free" and then charge you for it a month later. Talk about false advertising and deceiving consumers.

I talked to a person at the company (after waiting for 15 minutes) and was informed that they will refund my money on the credit card. We shall see. The detail below shows the wording on their website. "CAVEAT EMPTOR" I will never give this company a 2nd look now that I am aware of what they do.
