I was getting my free credit report via internet. I received my bank statement and there was a $79.95 deduction from CIC Credit Monitor Service. I do not have a debit card associated with this checking account and the account had only been open for one week when CIC deducted their fee from my account. The bad thing is that I had backed out of their website when I saw that they were charging the $79.95 for the monitoring service and had received my free credit report from another company. I will be requesting my money back from my bank.
