CIC Credit Monitor SVC ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing credit misleading NA California

Similiar story to the other 200 stories about this company. Credit card statement shows a $79.95 transaction with CIC*CREDIT MONITOR SVC. I had absolutly no clue what that was from until I read through some other reports here.

After seeing the website again I vaguely recall going there a couple months ago. I got there indirectly (pop up or something). After I had signed up for my free report I expected to get a confirmation email - never came. I forgot the companies name and had no way to get in touch with them.

Didn't think I needed to though. I was like "free credit report never came - big deal." I went and looked at the part of the signup when you give them your credit card information. (I do not remember seeing this last time) there is now a line that says you will be charged the 79.95 if you don't cancell with in 30 days.

anyway, im mad. They open up at 6am PST (that's 3 hours from now for me). I'm going to be taking the advice of Derek who submitted his report of this company last week. Going to call them up and b***h/scream untill they cancell and reverse the charges.
