CIL started off by calling me and stating that I owe $580 to a cash advance company that they would not give me the name. They wanted my debit card information and when I wouldn;t give it to them they started with the constant phone calls at work.

They would call my job call after call. If I didn't come to the phone, they would keep calling back. Once they seen that they wasn't getting anywhere, they would tell me that they would called my boss and tell her that I was a criminal.

The calls continued. They spoke with the receptionist and toldher that I was a criminal. They spoke with the other receptionist and told him that I owed $580.  The office manage spoke with them several times and asked them not to call anymore, but the calls continued anyway.

They have even called the answering sevice and told them that my boss is a criminal. I have recordings of them saying we are criminals, they will close the business in 48 hours, they asked if we were stupid. They told the maager that she was uneducated.

Not sure who they were talking too, they even blurted out my social security number. I have a recording of them telling me what the hell do I think of myself. They would get very very upset when No one would respond to them. And the call continue.

Very Old Scam, New Names

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, November 07, 2010

These a**holes are calling from India or Pakistan using fake American sounding names, their scam is To scare you into paying a Loan that doesn't exist.

Usually by saying they're Officer(Fake American Name) Obvious clue, the heavy accent, hard to understand, or cannot understand this (American Name) Officer?

Their Game plan is to scare you by threats like "Have the police at your door" or "Warrant has been signed" or "You're in big trouble", "You've committed BANK FRAUD" or similar lies.

They usually say they're from "The Department of LAW and Investigation" or similar scary FAKE NAMES (recently they used United Nations Law Division, and more recently the ACS Law division, and more recently 1st IRS Legal Dept)

You're NOT in trouble, they're just good Liars, Pay them NOTHING, they're only Slimy thieves.

Recently they'ne been changing names at the speed of light This is another name, but the same scammers.

OR IF YOU WANT PROOF THEY'RE THIEVES Tell them to send you verification there's any "Debt" at all, if they start screaming at you, that's proof positive that they're just thieves.

When they call again tell them they're just thieves and hang up, they can't arrest you, It's just a scam.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Make certain you file complaints with your local police/FBI, the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau

AUTHOR: Bea Diligent - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, November 04, 2010

Hi - as you can see by my previous report, I let CIL  know that I had researched them and that they were a scam and that I had reported them to the police, the FTC and the BBB - and had turned my recordings over to the police, and that the police had opened up a case file on rhem.  I told them if they continued to call me, I would continue to record them and that eventually they would be tracked down - THEY would be the ones with a criminal case file.  They are clearly in the wrong - I have monitored my bank account carefully, and have alerted my bank that they may try something - I have fraud protection with my bank and they will alert me to any suspicious activity. It has been a week since I heard from these scammers - hoping it is over!  Do NOT fall for their bullying - they are clearly doing everything illegally - sadly, there are people who are giving them money just to stop the calls - you just have to let them know that they are under investigation, and that you are working with the police - it seemed to work for me.  I will post later if the calls should start again.  Good Luck.
