Circuit City did not honor their sales add Melbourne Florida

I went into Circuit City looking for an HDTV - more specifically, Panasonic plasmas. I saw a sign in the store about getting a 42" Panasonic Viera 1080p TV with a surround sound system for $1500. I decided to get it, and as they were ringing me up, I noticed in their sales add they had a deal where I received a 50" 1080p Panasonic Viera plasma with the same sound system I was getting with the 42" - all for only $1499! I pointed this out to the sales person and he verified it was true.

As they were loading it into my vehicle, I noticed the box said 50" Panasonic Viera 720p - not 1080p. I pointed that out (again) to the sales person. He went in and verified with the manager of the store, and the manager came out and explained that there was an ad misprint. Although they had printed 50" 1080p, the serial number they printed very small underneath was the serial number for the 720p. They had showed me the ad misprint they supposedly had around the store, but I did not see it anywhere, nor did the sales guy even know about it! He didn't even know what the deal was in the first place! I tried to get a 46" TV out of it, but the best they could do was to give me a 42". It was the last day of the sale, and I decided to get it because it came with a sound system, but I was still unhappy about the situation. I ended up finding a better deal at H. H. Gregg and returned this TV to CC.

Needless to say, the store manager of this CC was VERY apathetic, as was the sales person. Neither of them really did anything to help me out; they seemed to be preoccupied with other things going around in the store, and they were not very helpful at all. I would not recommend going to this store, as the people who work there are very rude and only want to get your money, not help you out with the best deal possible.
