CITIMORTGAGE LIED TO ME ABOUT MY PAYMENT LOAN MODIFICATION!!!! Internet

I have names, dates and times to support the following:

Long story short called CitiMortgage to have my loan modified because I in early 2009 had my income cut in half and the value of my 2 year old home had dropped 50%.  I had just recieved a letter stating that my loan would be adjusted and If I had any further questions I could call. So I did.  This was 3/2009

Was told by loan mod adjuster to fax x,y and z regarding my personal financial crisis along with supporting documentation, pay stubs, report of bills, etc etc.  

after not receiving my fax the first time I refaxed. I was helped by a gentleman who was very nice and helpful... at first...  He went over my account.  He told me I was in luck because there was a brand new type of government modification they just received a green light on and I infact did qualify.  He told me my new payment was going to be $182 dollars a month.  I was blown away.  I was so thankful.  He reviewed everything with me, went to another person after putting me on hold to verify etc and all was a go.

He informed me I needed only make my payment ONTIME the next three months and the payment would be locked in.  My previous payment was about 630 bucks a month so I could have cried I was so thankful.  I told him the problems I was having with my 1st mortgage ASC aka Americas Servicing Company and the SNAFU I had been going through and was absolutely so thankful for him, CitiMortgage etc etc etc.  He was very nice and said you know in two weeks since we started this new mod program you are the very first one I have been able to get approved so I am very thankful you are the first one approved after all this time!  I practically wanted to invite the guy over for bbq because I was so thankful.  

4/09 made 1st mod payment to CitiM. 182 dollars

5/09 made 2nd mod payment to CitiM. 182 dollars

6/09 about to make 3rd mod payment to CitiMortgage and upon speaking to a customer service rep was told I was 60 DAYS LATE  ON MY PAYMENTS and I owed them 1400!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I needed to pay now or I am facing forclosure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I WAS BLOWN AWAY!  I almost cried... after everything I have gone through this year I could not believe what I was being told... So many things went through my mind at this moment.  I asked the rep how this could be when I had a loan modification.  She said nope, you have underpaid the last couple of months and you have a payment due now and you must catch up on the past payments and your credit has been dinged for the late payments!!!!!!!!!  I said how could this be.  I have names, I have numbers, I have dates, I have times.  WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!!!  

She came back at me with the typical SIR I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU FEEL LIKE YOU DO HOWEVER IT DOES NOT CHANGE THE FACT THAT YOU ARE BEHIND.  I then demanded to speak to someone else, a supervisor etc.  The person I spoke with decided to look a little deeper into the issue.  This rep at least realized that there was something VERY VERY wrong here.  Long story short the Loan Mod Guy made a HUGE mistake.  Because my loan was in the process of an AUTOMATIC MODIFICATION process he took the AFTER MOD numbers and then RE-Modified my account and gave me a price that was not correct.  I said well you have to honor it dont you?  I was told, nope, sorry, you us and you have to pay us and pretty much better happen quickly or the loan will default... forclosure, etc.  I litterally hung up the phone and sobbed...  I could not believe how messed up my mortgage companies both were.  I just needed help and I came to them BEFORE i was late, I communicated with them closely, I double checked everything and then in the end I was deceived and completely let down.  

HOW HOW HOW can the government give these guys BILLIONS and the little honest, tax paying citizen who helped pay the billions gets screwed and tossed aside.  My home will foreclose soon and I will be homeless and my home will be sold off by the bank for FAR LESS than I needed a modification loan to help me stay in it... WHY???

Will someone tell me what in the Hell is going on in this country??????
