I recently made a Purchase that had attached to it a special Promotion.... "Get $300 in Free Gas" with purchase.

I was then referred to the ClaimYourGas.com website, where I registered. The promotion is a little misleading, albeit not innacurate. Instead of $300 of free gas, you turn in $100 in gas receipts each month, from the same station, and you get a $25 gift card for that station.

The first month, my receipts were rejected because (allegedly) the postmark on the envelope was in February. Regardles of the fact that it was mailed Monday, January 26th, I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

I was recently told that my FEBRUARY receipts were rejected because they were not all made at a Valero station. I guess the word VALERO and matching addresses on the receipts was not sufficient for them.

I did contact the company via email, and did not hear back from them. Quite frankly, all the work for a $25 gift card, that they arbitrarily refuse to issue is not worth the hassle. I basically threw away my entire package.

My word to the wise would be--- be cautious in promotions where the company determines how and when the rebates are distributed. I did speak to the person who had set up the "Claim Your Gas" promotion, and he had stated that he had heard a lot of similar complaints. He will not be using them for promotions obviously in the future.

I assume they make their money off the gas stations themselves. I would urge Gas Station owners to take the time to investigate them before working with them

I have had the same problems. Postmark too late.....wrong, wrong and wrong. It was postmarked for the correct month and all of my inquiries have fallen on deaf ears. I have emailed almost daily for 3 weeks - no response. Messages have been left - again, no response. I am asking for copies of my envelopes with the incorrect postmark, doesn't really surprise me they won't comply. I've filed a complaint with the BBB. It's not even about money - just principle!
