CLASSMATES.COM The word needs to be gotten out Internet
*Consumer Comment: Not A Rebuttal but an Affirmation
My account was debited twice per month by Privacy Matters, 123 when contacted they said they had gotten out banking information from Classmates.com. I wrote to them and got a very trite letter back telling me basically it was all my fault, that I had signed up for this stuff. I didn't, my husband didn't, nor did any of the 100's and 100's of others they have done this too. And yet you hear nothing about this. The BBB STILL gives them a AAA rating. I would like to see some light shed on this. If anyone is interested in this let me know. Also if there is a class action pending complainants, contact me.

Not A Rebuttal but an Affirmation

I wanted to affirm what was written in this post. I, too, was getting billed by Privacy Matters, 123. I had never heard of them so called to find out why I was being billed. They said they got my card information AND AUTHORIZATION from classmates.com.
Privacy Matters said they'd refund all my charges... but I feel this is an issue for the FBI's internet fraud division (which I will contract shortly) as well as for a class action attorney.
I am most definitely in for a class action suit regarding this matter. Classmates needs to be called to the carpet for scamming its members and AUTHORIZING another company to bill our credit cards.
