I returned the modem to the Nevada return address listed above in a United States Post Office Priority Mail box. I did not use a delivery confirmation service. I should have. I did not use the Clearwire UPS return label with handy tracking number. I should have done that. I had hoped the package would get to NV sooner via USPS to avoid a charge for November service. I called Clearwire billing when I saw the charge for December 2008 and was told that the modem had not been received. Readers take heed. Use their UPS return label and get a delivery confirmation. Clearwire has charged me for two months service, they know that the modem has not been on since November 7, 2008, when I mailed it to the return address and they want $200 for the modem. Clearwire (mobile dialup) is going down the tubes and it is customer ripoff time, after having been with them for four years too!

#3 Consumer Comment
Clearwire UPS label is a scam

Clearwire encourages you to use their UPS label, because the tracking information disappears 10 days after it is issued. I returned my modem using their label and they also "lost" it. Since they are the UPS account holder, only they can pull up the tracking information. You would have been no better off. Here is an example of the receipt it provides to the consumer: https://www.ups.com/u.a/L.class?7E3X3F279097CsqvbvfP7Ks%3DPSy
They would not provide their return address when I asked them for the location. I was stupid, because they sent me one of the labels earlier and I was aware that the tracking information disappeared, but the UPS tracking number is visible before you print the postage. Make sure you write this down so you have proof when they try to scam you.
I am currently in the process of doing a chargeback and will possibly switch internet providers.

You are complaining about Clearwire when you were GIVEN a FREE RETURN LABEL and did not use it! You decided to do things your way, it did not work out and want to blame Clearwire! Do you see the problem with that? If you had used the UPS label that was sent to you there would have been no problems. You caused the issue yourself and now blame Clearwire! Typical!
