One big boiler room, sweat shop. Working for this call center is a joke. First of all, they are training people in masses. Good for them, since there are 150,000+ people out of work in Las Vegas, Nevada. Highest unemployment rate in the country, thousands of people desperate for jobs right now and unemployment benefits being exhausted. Many people are accepting this job because there is nothing else out there right now. Just another paycheck in their pocket until something better comes along.

The place is a revolving door for employees! Employees in, employees out. They have people crammed into the building shoulder to shoulder and hiring more everyday. I am wondering if it even meets "fire code" limit on the capacity of people in a building in one place. Many employees are stating they are going to report them to the fire marshall and Osha for unsafe working conditions. Computers plugged in all over the place, people crammed in there like sardines. Doubt if they even have a fire drill exit plan in place, in case of a fire or emergency.

If you don't meet your #'s, you're out. You must have a certain # of "account saves, upsells, call quality monitoring, etc. to continue to stay at the job. It is very high stress level. Their employee phone system, Avaya, doesn't work half the time, and they go by this to determine your "whereabouts" during the day. Are you on "break, are you on lunch, are you on after call work". They don't give you time to note your accounts, one call comes in, if you don't keep the customer on the line while noting the account and completing the transaction, another call comes in. It is crazy and stressful.

There is a job hiring fair at least once a week or every other week, where they hire 40-80 people for technical support and false position they call "retention representative", which is really an all around customer serv rep handling irate and angry people all day long who want to cancel their crappy internet service. The company is a scam, they have the reps convincing the customers to "stay" with the service that doesn't get a signal half the time, so they can charge them more money.  If the customer tries to get out of their contract, they charge them an early termination fee: which we are told as representatives not to use that legal term, but tell the customer instead, it is a "re-stocking" fee! Or to get the customer to stay longer, they will tell them a service technician will come out and check their "signal". Or because of weak signals, they have all kinds of products and devices to sell(which really does nothing to improve the internet service) to the customer to make more money. When a customer calls, you must try to upsell them another service or device if they are not irate (which most callers are). Deceptive business practices all the way around.

I would not recommend you consider this company for long term employment. (You, won't be there long anyway). If you want a quick few paychecks, this is where to go. By the way, the sugar cubes & carrots they dangle in front of you is the benefits package. You are eligible for benefits on the 1st of the month after your first 30 days! And the big bonuses you'll be making with your "saved accounts, bundling services and upsells." When in all reality, in order to get those bonuses there are impossible guidelines to meet. You must get a 50% or better "save rate", you must sell at least 4 bundle packages a month and you must meet attendance and call quality guidlines. All of which at some point or another a manager will mark you down on so you won't qualify for any bonuses or commission checks!

Believe you me, you will be miserable working for this call center. This company makes it sound like it's the greatest place in the world to work, many opportunities. It's all a lie. A scam, a big joke! And by the way, once you get out of training, you will then be required to work 10 hour days. If you are on a call when it's your break, lunch, or time for your shift to end, you must stay to finish the call and most of the calls last 30 minutes or more. (And they don't pay overtime). If you go over, you will get a longer lunch or an early out, so they don't have to pay you overtime. And don't believe any of their "pep rallies", where they gather you in a group and tell you how wonderful and awesome you are, then when you get your quality monitoring on your calls, they tell you how you did everything wrong!

When it comes to clear/clearwire call center in Las Vegas, run away, as fast and as far as you can!!!
