Since Colonial Van Lines has proven no interest in helping me recover items that were lost, I'm going to try to connect with other customers that are missing items. We may be able to help each other.

First, CVL provides no service other than connecting the customer with a truck driver. For my move, they charged me about $2500, then I paid the truck driver about $3500. I would have achieved the same result if I had used U Ship to connect directly with a truck driver. CVL has done nothing to help with the pick up or the delivery, especially my issue of having several items lost in the move. The driver did acknowledge that he was aware some items were left in the truck, and some were left at another house. But, he has no reason to make the effort to get this fixed, and CVL is apparently uninterested or powerless to help.

So...did you move recently with CVL and are missing items or have things that don't belong to you?

My stickers are RED, lot#233646 but these items would not have had the tag on them (the movers dumped out a box and delivered the empty box with the tag.) What is missing and I would love to recover is: a standing bike pump, a set of nordic skis (Madshus brand), two sets of nordic ski poles, and a black kayak paddle which was in two pieces with the blades covered with fabric for protection.

What the driver admitted was left behind in the truck and so will not be found unless he finds it in his heart to return to me: green fiberglass 6 ft step ladder, and a small round topped four legged stool painted off-white (my grandmothers).

Here is what they delivered to my house that does not belong to me:

Orange tag lot#474749: picture or framed mirror

Blue tag lot#099282: two plastic bins

Yellow tag lot#257384: rug

If you can identify the missing item, contents or description, I would do my best to get them to you.
If you have any of my items I would love to see if I can recover them.
