Columbia Gas Rates High Cost Estimates Columbus Ohio

Columbia Gas is a rip!!! They have in their records what type of appliances use gas at your residence and then estimate how much you use and charge accordingly. The rates CHANGE MONTHLY!!! They are based on the commodities markets. I am dropping gas and going straight electric. They told me that I am using 100 a month when I have ONLY a water heater. I don't have gas heat or a gas stove like they said I did!!! My water heater (40 Gallon) is insulated, all lines are secure, pipes are insulated and there is NO gas leak anywhere even at the risers. The thermostat is set at 120 and all is well with this unit. A 100 a month...RIP OFF!!!! My suggestion.....DROP GAS and go electric!!!! I have since installed a on demand hot water tankless heater I bought on craigslist and my electric has not even gone up!!!!
