COMPLAINT INFORMATION:
Date Received:9/18/2005 3:04:21 PM
Primary Complaint Classification: Delivery Issues
Secondary Complaint Classification: Repair Issues
Complaint:
I made a web order for Comcast digital cable, and DSL internet access. On 9/10/05 a tecnician came to my apartment, and proceeded to do the install. When he left I had a cable box without all of the channels I ordered, and no DSL internet. On that date I called to put in a work order for someone to come out to correct the problem.
On 9/12/05 another technician came out, and fixed the cable box so that I could receive all of the channels I ordered, but had no work ticket for the DSL. I called comcast again and set up another date for a technician to come out. I asked for something soon, and got 9/18/05. I also asked if it was anyway that I could be seen sooner, and was told that it would be sent to the dispatcher who would then route it to the manager to see if a technician could come out before the 9/18.
On 9/13 I called Comcast back to see if the mananger had approved an earlier date. There was nothing noted in the computer system, but my orginal date of 9/18/05 was there. On 9/18/05 I called Comcast to verify that a technician was coming to my apartment between the hours of 2-5, and was told that there was no appointment listed in their system.I had received no phone calls from Comcast telling me that the manager had approved or disapproved early installation, and on top of learning that my date was no longer scheduled was told that another technician could come out and do an install on the 9/24.
So long story short I have no internet access through comcast, but I do have my first bill that arrived on 9/13 for digital cable, and DSL internet.

Irregardless of what I call the internet service, it does not change the fact that I order internet service through the company, high speed cable internet, and the company failed to complete that order.
How is it that an order is placed, installation is not completed, a work order is placed, installation not completed, and another work order is placed, and still installation is not completed? Better yet there is no record of the order being placed in the system?
But, I did receive a bill, and guess what I am being charged for the service that I do not have. Have yet to receive a corrected statement showing the service that I do have.

comcast doesn't offer dsl service
AUTHOR: Carmine - (U.S.A.)

if you are wondering why comcast hasn't hooked up your dsl service it is because they don't offer "DSL" or "direct subscriber line" they do however offer "comcast high speed internet" which works through cable lines instead of the phone line which dsl uses. it would be like complaining to comcast about your satellite television having problems
