Comfort Inn By Choice Hotels Comfort Inn Charged me for 2 rooms even though we didn't stay there. New Cumberland Pennsylvania

We traveled to New Cumberland for our son's wedding reception. My husband's sister was staying in this Comfort Inn so we decided to stay there also. We went in at 10:00am and they let us check in for 2 rooms. My daughter was arriving that night.

We didn't go to the rooms or take anything in. We all left to go to the Hershey Chocolate Factory and got back at 4:00. We took all our luggage up to the room and as soon as I walked in I knew I didn't want to stay there.

The room was dirty looking and smelled bad. The floors were all scratched up and looked dirty. There was mold around the bathtub. I told my husband that I was not staying there. So we took all our luggage down and told them that we didn't want the room. The lady said okay and she canceled our reservations. I said," you are sure that I won't be charged for this?" and she said no we wouldn't.

When I got my credit statement, we had been charged for both rooms. I called and the manager said he didn't know that we might have used the rooms and I said that we hadn't even been in there except to look at it and decide we didn't want to stay. He got mad and hung up on me. I called my bank and they filed an ACH. But since I signed for the rooms, I probably won't get my money back.

They are very unfair and unprofessional. I only wish there was something else I could do because he shouldn't get away with ripping people off like that!
