I bought a computer from Comp USA in Anchorage Alaska and I am not to happy with their service.

I bought it i would say in December of 04 and had it till about January and something went wrong with the unit.
I had taken it in for repairs I had explained to them what the problem was and was assured that they would take it into Tosheba and have it fixed or fix it on site.
What was wrong is that my lamp for the screen had been flickering on and off.

Well took the thing in and waited for about till febuary and did not hear anything from them they said they called but nothing.

So i went in cause they said it was done. I got it home and opened it and was shocked to learn that it had not had anything done to it*in my mind i do beleave* so I had a friend of mine who is a computer tech look at it and he and i went back into the store and had them look at it again and send it off for 15 more days.

Then we get it back and still nothing.
Well we finely bought it home and my friend who is a technishion said it was burned out memory.

But Comp USA is false avertising if they have the 3 year rebate warrenty and do not honer it.

I would like to see them be held responsible cause that is just wrong what they are doing takeing money and not giveing.

THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN.
I would like to go through with a lawsuit and see what happens but i am on a fixed income anyone have ideas write me.

Hay small world your from willow Alaska.
I just found out from my friend he looked into it more and he found out that the memory went crap on him.
He suggest that I get it fixed and forget about it
. I wrote dateline Nbc and asked them to investigate the Comp USA stores all around.
And i also e-mailed channle 2 news in anchorage and asked them to do the same thing.
I will see what i can do i am a low income person.
They have big lawyers.

scare tactic works sometimes

30.00 lawsuit if you have paperwork of them working on it. Or go to an attourney to type the paperwork for a "scare tactic" works sometimes.
Call head office of comp usa
Or call toshiba directly and explain the problem.
I am surprised comp usa is still in bussiness with bestbuy being in town lol.
